--- OPERATIONS ORDER ---
Situation
Background InformationTHIS IS A CONVENTIONAL WAR OPERATION, EXPECT HIGH KINETIC COMBAT AGAINST A WELL EQUIPED AND ARMORED OPFOR! A FAILURE, AS WELL AS SUCCESS ARE POSSIBLE OUTCOMES! Acknowledging the determined advance of the Russian Armed Forces, military command is confronted with the imperative mission of coordinating a strategic withdrawal within a limited timeframe. The 1st Podlaska Territorial Defense Brigade (JW4857), deployed at the resolute defense outpost in Sitnik village, has promptly received a pivotal order to initiate a tactical withdrawal along the frontline, repositioning their forces westward.
Friendly Forces
JW 4857 - 1st Podlaska Territorial Defence Brigade/Troop, reduced to a platoon size due to casualties. Motorized infantry.

Supporting Assets
JW 1146 - 15th Supply Battalion/Section - located in Nidek Training Grounds.

Enemy Forces
Armed Forces of the Russian Federation

Mission
TaskingJW4857 has been assigned the mission of executing a tactical withdrawal in a westerly direction, progressing through the settlements of Borek and Zapadlisko. The objective is to consolidate forces at the Nidek Training Grounds, coordinating with JW1146, while diligently minimizing casualties.
End-state
The mission's success criteria entail the consolidation of the majority of JW4857 forces at or in close proximity to the Nidek Training Ground.
Execution
Commander's IntentReach Nidek Training Grounds without suffering unnecessary loss of life.
Tasks and Sequencing
Due to the dynamic and precarious situation that Guardian finds itself, expect the following plan to be altered during the operation. All leaders are expected to proceed with good initiative, and should opportunities arise, inform their superiors of such opportunities. PHASE 0 Guardian assembles at Sitnik North Industrial complex, and as quickly as possible mobilises to move Westwards towards Nidek. Guardian has HMMWVs at their disposal. GUARDIAN 1 will be the first element in our movement, followed by GUARDIAN 9 and then GUARDIAN 2. PHASE 0 ends once all elements are ready to move. Overall OPFOR Most Likely Course of Action: Usage of barrage then assault tactics to seize Sitnik, Borek and Zapadlisko from the North, and Lembork, Karlin and Nadbór Power Plant from the South. All elements are expected to be prepared for battle drills concerning Reaction to Artillery Attack, Reaction to Contact and Breaking contact in particular. PHASE 1 Phase 1 commences once Guardian is ready to move from Sitnik. Phase 1 ends once Guardian is in Borek, or bypasses the town. Guardian moves from Sitnik to Borek along the road passing Sitnik South Industrial complex. Reconnaissance suggests this is the route providing best concealment and fewest risks to our movement. GUARDIAN 1 will be our vanguard element for this movement, and needs to proceed with initiative yet with a cautious mindset. GUARDIAN 2 should be ready to flank enemy locations if required. All callsigns are expected to provide ACE reports prior to arrival at the railyard. Main risk areas are identified as: Plains north of our route, plains south of our route, a gap of approximately 150 metres in the foliage along our route just before Borek railyard. Alternative routing further south can be considered should the situation warrant it, though is likely to involve greater risk than the primary route as Guardian will have to cross open ground. Notable locations: - Sitnik S Industrial - leftover transport trucks can be found here. Defensive positions just north of the facility proper. - Borek railyard - expected to contain ammunition that previous elements could not bring with them. - Borek city proper - field hospitals are still expected to be located in Borek. City mostly destroyed due to artillery. OPFOR Most Likely Course of Action: Our intel suggests that OPFOR is likely to engage in a frontline-wide attack, seeking to seize Borek with their combined arms elements. They have an advantageous approach towards Borek. It is therefore expected that OPFOR is likely to move on Borek, and possibly seize it. The timing of this seizure is not known to us, but this could cause complications in our movement. PHASE 2 Phase 2 commences once Guardian is ready to move from Borek. Phase 2 ends once Guardian is in Zapadlisko, or bypasses the town. Guardian moves from Borek as soon as possible, taking into account medical and logistical requirements. The main plan is to move directly westwards and reach Zapadlisko quickly. GUARDIAN 2 will be our vanguard element for this movement, whilst GUARDIAN 1 will be our flanking element. All callsigns are expected to provide ACE reports prior to arrival in the town. Main risk areas are identified as: Open plains North and South of Zapadlisko. Should our main approach prove to be untenable, secondary plan is to move further south, with initial destination being a compound at grid figures 087-080. This will provide us better overview of Zapadlisko, though poorer avenues of approach towards the town proper. Moving directly west from this location may allow Guardian to bypass the town if required. Notable locations: - farmsteads south of Borek - possible cover should we need to bypass or withdraw from Borek - Compound at grid figures 087-080 - possible overwatch position - Zapadlisko city proper - destroyed. OPFOR Most Likely Course of Action: By this phase, OPFOR is likely aware of our movements, and are likely seeking to hunt us down and destroy our element. At the same time, Borek may have fallen, and the same fate is expected in Zapadlisko. However, their avenues of approach to Zapadlisko is not as favourable as to Borek, and they are expected to proceed more cautiously in this direction. No friendly forces are located in this town, however, so seizure of this town is unavoidable. PHASE 3 Phase 3 commences once Guardian is ready to move from Zapadlisko. Phase 3 ends once Guardian reaches Nidek. Guardian moves from Zapadlisko as soon as possible. No medical facilities or logistical support remain in Zapadlisko, though the logistical element in Nidek is ready to support should there be such requirements, and should it be safe for them to move out of Nidek. Our main movement is along the most direct roads leading from Zapadlisko to Nidek, as these provide best cover. GUARDIAN 1 takes the vanguard position, whilst GUARDIAN 2 are ready to support our movement. Main risk areas are identified as: Bushy terrain west of Zapadlisko - open terrain providing little to no cover, open terrain south of Nidek. Notable locations: - powerlines - goes from Nidek to Zapadlisko, provides good west-east directions, can be used for navigation if required. - Compound at grid figures 074-085 - possible overwatch position, though bush terrain makes observation difficult OPFOR Most Likely Course of Action: Assuming Zapadlisko is seized, they are expected to be tasked with seek and destroy, with our and other Polish elements as targets. They are, however, not expected to move considerably further West as this time, as their main objective currently seems to close the corridor between Tarnow and Lembork.
Administration/Logistics
ResupplyWe do not have any confirmed resupply for the duration of this operation. For this reason, everyone must assume that what they have is what they get, ammunition-wise. The Borek railyard is expected to have some leftover supplies we can make use of. A logistical element in Nidek may provide support once we reach Zapadlisko, though this depends on a number of factors.
Medical
No medical support is expected. Medical facilities in Borek may be used to our advantage. It is recommended that elements bring with them an extra supply of blood.
Rules of Engagement
EPWs will be tied and gagged, and left behind.
