--- OPERATIONS ORDER ---
Situation
Background InformationRecent explosions have shaken the local populace in Chalkeia and Pyrgos, and doubts are now rising concerning NATO's abilities and intentions to keep civilians secure. At the same time, the frontlines have stabilised north of Charkia, meaning that this is a good opportunity for NATO to reach out to the population, investigate the explosions and - hopefully - arrest the perpetrators. ***This mission will be RP heavy and ballistics light***
Friendly Forces
1x human intelligence squad focused at human relations and investigations.
Supporting Assets
CHARLIE and DELTA Companies, 2nd Battalion 136th Regiment, are in defensive posture along the frontlines. ALPHA and BRAVO Companies act as reserves based in Chalkeia and Pyrgos respectively. ECHO Battery is located southeast of Chalkeia, prioritising fire missions from CHARLIE and DELTA. 2nd Battalion’s main logistical hub is situated in the quarry south of Pyrgos. A command node controlling the frontlines is located in Ekali, with significant security measures around.
Enemy Forces
In the AO, suspected but unidentified SOF forces. At the frontlines, battles continue at a near standstill. Nifi has been seized by a motorised platoon.
Mission
TaskingInvestigate recent explosions in Chalkeia and Pyrgos and to improve relations with the general populace. Note that a lot of rumours are going around about who are responsible for the explosions. Be therefore careful in your approach, and do not agitate the populace further. Arrests and searches must be done only after careful investigation.
End-state
Investigation into recent explosions complete. Evidence against perpetrators collected, and suspects arrested.
Execution
Commander's IntentThe commanders intent is to move to Pyrgos and speak to local CIVPOP about recent explosions within the town. We should provide support, aid, and security to those living in the city and strive to build community relations.
Tasks and Sequencing
FOXTROT 1 will self insert from the nearby FOB, into the town of Pyrgos. Upon arrival, they will disembark and begin a perimeter patrol to ascertain civilian population routes and identify any suspicious areas, activity, or sightings. Once the perimeter patrol is complete, the team will engage with the local population and begin compiling intel to assist with STRATOPS. Additionally, they will respond to provide civilian aid and resources and react to developing situations as necessary.
