--- OPERATIONS ORDER ---
Situation
Background Information"Gromovi" are on the move again after sucesfully fending off an enemy assault. Their mission is to liberate Polshishkino a main settlement in the area. The village of Gumnishi is presumed abandoned after the enemy failed to punch tru the defensive line outside of Shalaevo.
Friendly Forces
Mechanized platoon with; - 3x BOV 30L - 1x flatbet HEMTT - 1x repair and rearm HMMW.
Enemy Forces
Enemy is belived to be mechnianized infantry with the majority of their armored assets in dug-in defensive positions due to fuel shortages, but this does not mean that the enemy wont use some of them in a flanking matter. Intel suggest their MBTs are severly hindered by lack of fuel and have been recalled to the airbase in anticipation of our assault at a later date.
Mission
TaskingLiberating Polshishkino.
Execution
Commander's IntentThe main purpose of this mission is to dislodge the Illyrian forces that have entrenched positions in and around the town of Polshishkino, thus creating a buffer between frontline units and the recently captured airfield at Polivanovo. The Illyrian forces are also suspected to have further fortified positions to the South of Polshishkino, as well as smaller maneuver groups to the North, possibly near Gumnishi.
Tasks and Sequencing
STAGING: ALL CALLSIGNS WILL CARRY OUT FINAL EQUIPMENT AND READINESS CHECKS AND THEN ASSEMBLE AT RP-0 FOR BRIEFING. PHASE 1: ALL BADGER CALLSIGNS will mount their respective vehicles and form in a vehicle column outside the FOB in the following manner: BADGER 1 will mount BADGER 3-1 BADGER 9 will mount BADGER 3 BADGER 2 will mount BADGER 3-2
The column will then depart South towards the marked DISMOUNT POINT
Infantry squad leaders shall act as their respective vehicle commanders when mounted and maneuvering between objectives, when infantry are dismounted, vehicle gunners will take command of the vehicle and directly support the dismounted infantry.
The first objective during phase 1 will involve the clearing of enemy reconnaissance units within the town of Gumnishi.
BADGER 1 will clear sectors A1 and A2 with support from BADGER 3-1
BADGER 2 will clear sectors B1 and B2 with support from BADGER 3-2
After successfully clearing out the town of Gumnishi, all elements will regroup at RLY A and mount within their attached vehicles.
PHASE 2:
After regrouping at RLY A, ALL BADGER ELEMENTS will move South-East to locate suitable positions to attack the entrenched enemy positions surrounding POINT GAMMA. Once the entrenched positions are clear, BADGER 1 and 2 will begin assaulting the enemy installation within POINT GAMMA, meanwhile BADGER 3 provides base of fire and rear security to the dismounted infantry.
Once Point Gamma has been cleared, infantry elements will hold and receive logistical support from CASTLE if required. BADGER ELEMENTS will then continue South to assault POINT X-RAY from the North.
Upon clearing Point X-Ray, the assault onto Polshishkino will begin and be carried out as follows:
BADGER 1 will clear sectors A3 - A4 - A5
BADGER 2 will clear sectors B3 - B4 - B5 - B6
With direct support from BADGER 3 infantry fighting vehicles. Sector responsibility may change in the field as the situation dictates, or if too many casualties are sustained.
Points of interest have been highlighted within sectors B5 and A5
B5 has a small logistical depot and units stationed around the old tractor workshop.
A5 has a field camp, likely acting as the field headquarters.
Once all sectors have been cleared, ALL BADGER ELEMENTS will regroup at RLY B.
PHASE 3:
Although not mission critical, or heavily defended by the enemy, troop formations have been spotted within the Southern region of the AO.
Should it be deemed necessary, BADGER CALLSIGNS will maneuver and clear out areas of interest and will be briefed in the field by the platoon commander.
After all objectives are met, ALL CALLSIGNS will regroup in the field for debriefing.
