Situation

Background Information
After pushing IS forces back from the YNA frontline, 75th Ranger has geared up to occupy the valley from Operation Twin Valleys. With all but 1 cave exit being collapsed the only route for IS reinforcements will be from the north, via Mayankel. Despite not securing the Valley on the previous operation, it has exhausted the enemy MBT stockpile to their main strongholds. Ranger elements are expected to clear the valley with low resistance in the main part of the valley, once secure, moving on to secure Mayankel. Once Mayankel is secure, IS forces will not have a major foothold left in the the western part of our AO.

Supporting Assets
YNA ARE HOLDING THEIR FRONTLINE WITH MBTS AND STATIC POSITIONS, THEY ARE NOT EXPECTED TO MOVE FROM THEIR LINE UNTIL THEIR FORCES ARE REGROUPED. USAF stationed at Kinduf airbase can be called upon to prevent mission failure.

Mission

Tasking
Clearing out any remaining hostiles in the valley and neutralising hostiles from Mayankel.

End-state
- If time permits, after securing Mayankel, endex in town. - If the valley poses a bigger challenge than expected, endex in field.

Execution

Commander's Intent
Kilo Platoon patrols Northbound through Kafira Valley, with the end goal of capturing and holding OBJ Achilles, consisting of the town of Mayankel and surroundings. Mutual Support of the respective KILO and INDIA callsigns is paramount to success.

Tasks and Sequencing
Phase 0: After gearing up, KILO will form a convoy along the road and prep to secure Objective Hades, a likely fortified and guarded Cave Entrance (Note: non-enterable) Phase 1: All KILO: follow respective Move Markers, with KILO 3 providing Overwatch North along the MSR INDIA: provides Long-Range Support. Phase 2: Phase 2 consists of the travel between OBJ Hades and OBJ Achilles, Ambushes and enemy defensive positions are expected, but locations unknown due to dangerous airspace limiting recon potential. On SIGHTING, Platoon will report enemy positions and survey before engaging. On CONTACT, INDIA 1 will decide on push-through or reversing the convoy. Phase 3: Assault and capture of OBJ Achilles, sectors assigned in-field.

Resupply
Medium AT: Resupply available in respective INDIA Callsign (Stryker) due to lack of assistant. Infantry: Rely on LIMA 4-1 for LOGPAK

- Medical support will be conducted using supporting element MIKE 4-2 (PAK off Field)
