Situation
Background InformationTasking: Overnight urban defense of the Northern Vierville-sur-Mer area, following an assault onto enemy positions at Dawn. Following the D-Day landings on June 6th 1944, Able company, part of the US Army's 116th infantry regiment, 29th infantry division, have found themselves struggling to maintain the ground seized after the initial landings at Omaha beach. Having only just held off a Wehrmacht counter-attack to the West at Vierville-sur-Mer, reconnaissance flights have now indicated the Wehrmacht are ready to strike once again, likely during the early morning hours of June 7th.
