Situation

Background Information
After a heavy Snowstorm has hit the North on Norway, US Forces stationed in Norrfjorden lost communication with the Northern Installations. Bear, a Motorized Platoon, is dispatched to check up on friendly positions. Advisory: This is a side-story to the main Everglade Storyline Assets: 2x M1025 (M2) 2x M1036 (M220/TOW)

Motorized Infantry Platoon: 2x Infantry Squads mounted in 2x M939 Cav: Humvees: 2x M1025 (M2) 2x M1036 (M220/TOW)


Mission

Tasking
Find and investigate stations with lost contact.


Execution

Commander's Intent
The purpose of the mission is to inspect the installations in the North. And re-establish communication lines.

Tasks and Sequencing
PHASE 0 Once all elements have sorted there gear we will form up on briefing area. Last checks will be done here and last minute verbal brief will be given. PHASE 1 After brief Convoy will be formed on the road outside the base Convoy formation will be: BEAR 3 BEAR 3-1 , BEAR 1 , BEAR 9 ,VIXEN 4-1 BEAR 2 BEAR 3-2 , BEAR 3-3 . BEAR 3 Is in charge of convoy parameters (speed ,distance) and any actions on. BEAR 9 retains overal command incase off changed mission parameters. GROUNDHOG 4 Will prepare repair and Supply trucks for when snowstorm assessment is known PHASE 2 BEAR 9 Will organize support where needed to re establish communication with the bases PHASE 3 Convoy will move back towards FOB for some quite R&R.


Administration/Logistics

Resupply
GROUNDHOG 4 Needs to prepare a repair and supply truck to help re- establish once Bear has made contact with the installations.

Medical
- Medical support will be conducted using supporting elements (PAK off Field) - VIXEN 4-1 will organize any medical aid needed at the Northern bases.

Considerations
Succession of Command BEAR 9 , BEAR 8 ,BEAR 1 ,BEAR 2 ,BEAR 3 Signal - Red: enemy position - Orange: friendly vehicle requiring support - Purple: friendly MASCAS - Blue or Green: friendly position - White: concealment Communication plan: To make the platoon net only for tactical communications BEAR 3 need to contact on 70 for resupply/ repair request. BEAR 8 Will keep track of any status and communicate with GROUNDHOG 4 to get it arranged. Note BEAR 3 can have there separate elements report on 70 , this is at the elements and his own discretion this is too keep platoon organized more.
