Situation
Background InformationAfter six months of relative calm, the 10th Mountain Division faces renewed insurgent activity and ISIS forces gone to ground. With coalition forces' attention diverted in the wider region, attacks have become targeted, isolated, and deadly. During a mounted patrol through Kundar Valley, Roughneck 3-0, in an up-armored Humvee, is hit by a roadside IED. To try to prevent a repeat of previous intense firefights, Patrol Base Sentinel mobilises two additional squads and a combat medical team to move in for recovery operations. With the enemy preferring hit-and-run tactics, vigilance is crucial. The Kundar Valley is a volatile region and its MSR is an exposed road, further complicating recovery efforts. - Deployment continues Squad Doctrine Trials with the addition of the Charlie Element (Driver/Gunner). - Contact: Heavy firefights mixed with low contact, RP and scouting. - Vehicle Assets: Up-armored and lightly armored HMMWV, REAPER UAV. - Those deploying in Roughneck 3 will be separated from the other forces at mission start per WARNO.
