--- OPERATIONS ORDER ---
Situation
Background InformationFollowing the breaching operations through Green Valley, US special operations forces must infiltrate and sabotage the fortified military base south of Levie to remove that thorn from the side of the open salient and prepare for an advance through the Everon bottleneck. Blacksmith wants a new FOB and information on the surrounding terrain. Echo will provide.
Friendly Forces
1x Detachment of specialists from Special Forces Command, provided under operational command of Blacksmith.
Supporting Assets
US troops are holding Regina and Green Valley.
Enemy Forces
Soviet-backed Everon National Guard. Expected armour support and sizeable infantry garrisons.
Mission
TaskingPrimary Tasking -OBJ SATURN- Enemy military base. -OBJ VENUS- Enemy defensive positions South of Saturn, on the ridge overlooking the base. Secondary Tasking -OBJ MARS- Secure intelligence on enemy forces -OBJ NEPTUNE- Reconnoitre surrounding land and enemy positions Objective Saturn consists of a fixed military base position acting as forward HQ and supply for southern Everon National Guard positions. Saturn may provide a useful FOB for us once cleared and taken by ground forces, keep it as intact as possible. We are expecting enemy positions on the ridge South and South-East of the base as they overlook the base itself. As this is a raid behind enemy lines, conduct the beginning of the operation as stealthily as possible. Once you go loud the enemy will begin to organise a response. It would be wise to vacate the area before the enemy response arrives in force.
End-state
OBJECTIVE SATURN RAIDED AND ECHO TEAMS BACK BEHIND FRIENDLY LINES.
Execution
Commander's IntentThe purpose of this mission is to recce enemy positions in preparation for a further advance down Green Valley to continue the ongoing salient. These positions may be disabled where possible. It further aims to deny the enemy assets stationed in OBJ Saturn by means of sabotage, destruction or recovery.
