Situation

Background Information
Following the invasion, there have been reports of German activity in the small town of Neaville. British forces have been tasked to investigate the town and push any German forces out of the town and the surrounding area.

Friendly Forces
JOLLY 1x Infantry Squad ARCHER 3 2x Half Tracks IRONSIDE 2 1x Cromwell Artillery support is available if required.

Supporting Assets
British forces are to the east and west of JOLLY and will be pushing north simultaneously.

Enemy Forces
Intelligence suggests a company sized motorised detachment in the area with armoured support. However this could be inaccurate as the Germans reinforce from the north.

Tasking
JOLLY Has been tasked with pushing the AXIS forces out of Neaville to secure a vital supply route which will contribute significantly to the wider allied advance. The image above is the current suspected German locations/encampments. It is imperative that Neaville is under Allied control for the continued advance.

Neaville and the surrounding area secure

Execution

Commander's Intent
JOLLY 1 with the support of IRONSIDE 2 have been tasked with moving to the town of Neaville and clearing out any German forces from within the town and the neighbouring military camp. Should friendly forces complete this we are tasked with moving to Le Vieux Chateau to investigate reports of a German encampment there.

Tasks and Sequencing
JOLLY 1-2 JOLLY 1 mounted in ARCHER 3 and IRONSIDE 2 will move along route Yorkshire to DP Breakfast. Possible contact is expected en route near the town of La Durandiere At DP Breakfast JOLLY 1-2 will set up at BoF Twinings and cover JOLLY 1-1 as they enter sector 1a. Once JOLLY 1-1 has a foothold in sector 1a, IRONSIDE 2 and ARCHER 3 will cover JOLLY 1-2 as they move into sector 1b. As the JOLLY 1 is moving through its sectors 1 vehicle from ARCHER 3 will be attached to each fireteam as a force multiplier. IRONSIDE 2 will move down the main road of the town, eliminating any possible enemy armoured QRF. After JOLLY 1-1 clears sector 1a they will set up at either BoF PG Tips Alpha or Bravo while JOLLY 1-2 clears sector 1c. ARCHER 3 and IRONSIDE 2 will then cover JOLLY 1-1 and JOLLY 1-2 as they move into sectors 2a and 2b respectively. Objective Charlie will be planned in the OP.
