Situation

Background Information
Following the capture of the following IDAP personnel Derek Tucker (USA), Ryan Powell (USA - Deceased), Eric Mills (CAN), Pierre Maatla (BWA - Deceased) during one of their missions. During the ransom declaration 6 hours ago two of the captives were executed. With the lack of cooperation from the hosting country, the US President has authorized the execution of a rescue operation of the hostages. We have not received authorization from the hosting country to conduct the operation, we are to avoid contact and detection from Friendly Forces (UNA, NATO allies, Gendarmerie) and civilian population. This orbat is part of Black rain 4, this is the recon element that will coordinate with the reinforcing element to accomplish the mission. The mission is estimated to last 2.5 hours according to plan.

Supporting Assets
RANGER Platoon is deployed at FOB Nauzad. Assisted by a Medical Detachment and Engineering detachment. They will be providing assistance as needed under the guise of presence patrols. NATO, Gendarmerie and local military Army are to be considered not-friendly and any contact with any of those forces is to be avoided

Mission

Tasking
This is a clandestine operation, success of the mission depends on the ability to not leave any traces of our presence. LION is to identify the location of hostages among suspected locations. Once identified, they are to assist the Breaching team in extracting the hostages. Providing surveillance and taking out any needed targets.

End-state
FOB Nauzad where RANGER is fielded is the main regroup location, in case of mission or operative compromised, regroup at one of the hide locations and await extraction instructions.

Execution

Commander's Intent
The intent is to move from US Barracks in to 3 Polaris buggies. And scout out the potential Area's where the HVT can be held. Set up overwatch to gather intel and standby for emergency fire solutions.

Tasks and Sequencing
PHASE 0 ALL CALLSIGNS Will be ready to move 5 min past the Start ex. Fully ready to sustain operations in the field. Stealth is priority non lethal as wel. Each buddy team will drive 1 Polaris. PHASE 1 LION 1-3 Red Buddy team will move to OP 1 and gather intel on OBJ Pride rock LION 1-3 Green Buddy team will move to OP 2 and gather intel on OBJ Watership down PHASE 2 Incase of OBJ Pride rock and OBJ Watership down Not being the location we are looking for we will continue with LION 1-3 Red Buddy team will move to OP 3 and gather intel on OBJ Duckburg LION 1-3 Red Buddy team will move to OP 4 and gather intel on OBJ Jungle book PHASE 3 Once Location is confirmed LION 1 will Organize LZ and regroup location for LION 1-1 LION 1-2 LION 1-3 Will Gather intel and compound location and provide long range security and observation Once Execute time has come keep ROE in mind Minimize enemy bodies (prefer none) Bring entrenching tool to remove potential bodies. Extract together with HVT's
