Mission
TaskingAmbush the enemy vanguard, then lift the siege at FOB Nauzad
Execution
Commander's IntentOur intention as a unit will be to conduct a rapid ambush on an enemy armoured column moving to flank friendly forces. Due to our cut off position, we will then punch through enemy lines, creating a corridor toward friendly FOB Nauzad.
Tasks and Sequencing
Teamwork between vehicle sections and flexibility throughout this operation will be important. Overlapping sectors of fire and utilising terrain cover will also be key in prolonging vehicle uptime. For the first phase of our execution, we will proceed to the ridge to the North and North-East of the designated killboxes, around the hills marked as POIs. We will conduct rapid recce and position ourselves for the enemy armoured column. During the ambush, priority will be to disable vehicles before they leave the killboxes and our LOS. We must do our utmost to prevent a break-through as these vehicles may impact friendly positions far to the North-West. Once complete and repaired/re-armed if necessary, we will proceed toward FOB Nauzad. We will be moving through enemy lines with expected hard fortifications in some positions, so we can take a measured pace and clear out a corridor for ourselves systematically, utilising our weapons platforms to their strengths. FOB Nauzad is under a prolonged siege by the enemy from the South-Eastern direction. We will attempt to break this siege as we reach the friendly positions, with a very deep envelopment. From there, ENDEX will be intended at FOB Nauzad, all things going well.
