Situation

Background Information
Comrades of the Red Army! Sons and daughters of Stalingrad! Today, our boots stand once again on the sacred stones of Red Square, reclaimed from the fascist invader by the indomitable spirit of Soviet blood and iron. Now, with the city’s heart beating under the banner of the Motherland, we do not rest. We advance. The time for wavering is over. Not one step back! This is the iron command of our epoch, the will of the people, the order of the Party. Every street, every ruined factory, every shattered window is Soviet ground and will be defended to the last cartridge, the last breath, the last beating heart. The factories of Stalingrad and the airport—lifeblood of our struggle—must be secured at any cost. The German beast is weary. Their lines are stretched, their arrogance exposed. Panic-mongers lie! The fascists are not invincible. By standing firm now, we secure not only Stalingrad, but the future of all Soviet generations. Let it be known: Any man who retreats without explicit order is a traitor to the Motherland. Cowards, defeatists, and saboteurs will meet the fate reserved for enemies of the people. Discipline, courage, and absolute loyalty are your shields; treachery will be repaid with the bullet. To fulfil this order is to save your comrades, your mothers and wives, your city, your Soviet land. Forward, for the Motherland! Forward, for Stalingrad! Death to the German invaders! Victory or death—there is no third way!

Mission

Tasking
Comrades of PHOENIX, the eyes of the Motherland are upon you. You are tasked with a critical mission in the defence and liberation of Stalingrad.

• Primary Objective: Secure and hold the industrial sector located to the south-east of Red Square. Deny the enemy any use of these factories and infrastructure.
• Secondary Objective: Advance to the airport on the western outskirts of the city. Prevent enemy reinforcement or withdrawal by capturing and defending all key positions within the airfield perimeter.

All enemy resistance in these areas is to be neutralized. No ground is to be surrendered. Hold every position until relieved. The success of PHOENIX will determine the fate of Stalingrad. Failure is NOT permitted. Glory to the Red Army!

End-state

• Mission Success:
  • PHOENIX fully controls the industrial sector south-east of Red Square; all enemy forces in this area are destroyed or captured.
  • PHOENIX occupies and secures all key positions at the airport on the western edge of the city; the airfield is held with no active enemy presence.
  • Friendly lines are established and reinforced in both sectors, ready to repel counterattacks and continue the advance.
• Mission Failure:
  • Failure is not permitted. PHOENIX will hold all objectives at any cost. Retreat or abandonment of ground will be regarded as betrayal of the Motherland and is strictly forbidden by order of higher command.
  • The only acceptable outcome is the total defeat of enemy forces and retention of all assigned sectors.
  • In the event of overwhelming enemy pressure, PHOENIX is expected to defend positions to the last man and last bullet. Surrender is not an option.

Execution

Commander's Intent
Comrades of Platoon PHOENIX! Our purpose is to drive the fascist beast from the sacred soil of Stalingrad with unbreakable Soviet will! We will annihilate all enemy resistance in the industrial sector south-east of Red Square. This ground, forged by the workers, will be held by our hands. We will then advance with iron resolve to seize the western airport, strangling the invader's ability to resupply or flee. PHOENIX 1 and PHOENIX 2 will advance in parallel, clearing the fascist filth from their rat-holes. Support one another with fire and fury. There will be no retreat, no resupply. Use the weapons of the defeated enemy. We will hold our objectives to our last breath. Any man who abandons his post is a traitor to the Motherland and will be dealt with accordingly. Not one step back! For Stalin! For Victory

Tasks and Sequencing
PHOENIX will continue our glorious assault of Stalingrad! PHOENIX 1 & PHOENIX 2 will simultaneously push and clear sectors, while ensuring support of both callsigns. From startex, PHOENIX 1 will push and clear sectors 1a & 1b, while PHOENIX 2 will push and clear sectors 1c & 1d. Both callsigns will work in parallel to ensure support. Further sector tasking will be given throughout the assault.

Administration/Logistics

Resupply
There will be no resupply. Units are expected to use enemy weaponry if they run out of ammunition. People are to only pick up weapons that match there role.
