Situation

Background Information
Situation: Distinguished Visitor, Congressmen Michael Hawke, is currently visiting FOB Ishaqi. They have reported increased prodding by local Al Qaeda forces. Squad element SHIELD has been tasked as a QRF stationed at FOB Al Jaarah. Supporting Assets
No friendly supporting assets available besides the CH-53 as we are the QRF.

Enemy Forces
Al Qaeda forces, mostly small arms. May have vehicle mounted weapons. OPFOR is expected to continue to prod FOB Ishaqi and may launch full assault. There are Al Qaeda strongholds around FOB Al Jaarah, there is a possibility of FOB Al Jaarah being attacked.

Mission

Tasking
SHIELD 1 will be a QRF if/when Al Qaeda forces assault FOB Ishaqi. While at FOB Al Jaarah, SHIELD 1 will continue to reinforce the FOB as the squad leader instructs.

End-state
Mission Complete: At all costs, Congressman Michael Hawke, is to remain safe; regardless if Al Qaeda attacks FOB Ishaqi. If Congressman Michael Hawke is to fall, he is your number one priority to resuscitate. If either FOB Ishaqi or, FOB Al Jaarah is entirely overrun, make it your goal to remove the Congressman from the danger.

Execution

Commander's Intent
SHIELD 1 is to stand ready as QRF for FOB Ishaqi. Firstly to extract the VIP, secondly to pull some weight away from FOB Ishaqi. SHIELD 1 than returns to FOB Al Jaarah and keep the VIP safe there.

Tasks and Sequencing
A) SHIELD 1 will be stationed at FOB Al Jaarah making sure the base is defensible, weak points analyzed, and traps set. B) SHIELD 1 is to stand ready for immediate action to call as QRF if/when FOB Ishaqi comes under assault. C) SHIELD 1 will use LZ Angel SOUTH of FOB Ishaqi as contingency hot landing if/when FOB Ishaqi comes under assault and we need to fight our way from the outside to the VIP. D) After SHIELD 1 has secured the VIP and the contacts die down. Finally SHIELD 1 are to hot extract outside EAST of FOB Ishaqi and RTB.

Administration/Logistics

Resupply
The supplies will come from the staging area. This basic load is expected to sustain the team throughout the mission, without support during QRF to FOB Ishaqi. At FOB Al Jaarah there will be LOGPAK boxes to sustain further needs of the squad, if the situation deems necessary.

Medical support will be conducted in field (PAK in Field)
