Friendly Forces
9DIV, Ryhmä Fagernäs, II/JR64 (Detachment Fagernäs, 2COY/Infantry Regiment 64) Lightly equipped infantry squad lacking AT equipment, forced to resort to makeshift weapons.
Supporting Assets
No friendly reinforcements are to be expected due to the gravity of the situation and 9th Div being stretched to the limit. Majority of the Infantry Regiments have endured severe casualties and have been reorganized into imporvised battegroups, and most of the divisions artillery has been destroyed due to excessive barrel wear, repelling the 163rd Infantry Division few weeks prior.
Enemy Forces
The well equipped 44th "Blue" Infantry Division, consisting of mostly UkrSSR troops, reinforced by a seperate tank battalion.
Mission
TaskingII/JR64 is tasked with crossing Kylmänjärvi during the night, and establishing a beachhead near the Soviet logistical lines. Once the squad has secured a big enoug area on the other side of the lake, they are to start distrupting 44th Div convoys and destroying potential staging areas, field kitchens and other logistical elements.
End-state
A stable foothold behind enemy lines, and 44th DIV secondary supply route cut off.
Execution
Commander's IntentThe intent for this mission is to disrupt Soviet supply lines and secure any equipment we can.
Tasks and Sequencing
BLIZZARD 1 will move north east across the frozen lake. Once across, we will then clear the initial area, destroying potential staging areas, field kitchens and other logistical elements. Before setting up ambush positions to disrupt the 44th Div convoys. With an artillery base suspected to be nearby, we may also move to engage if we spot it.
Administration/Logistics
ResupplyALL CALLSIGNS will cross the LD fully loaded according to the units SOP. These supplies will come from the staging area. This basic load is expected to sustain the team throughout the mission, without support.
