--- OPERATIONS ORDER ---
Situation
Background InformationExpected Level of Combat : ☆☆☆ Expected Level of RP: ☆ Expected Difficulty: ☆☆ Three-star rating: ☆ Little to none expected ☆☆ Decent amount expected ☆☆☆ Heavy emphasis / main focus of Operation NOTE: This operation requires the CDLC Global Mobilization NOTE: The optional mod Enhanced Soundscape is recommended for enhanced ear pleasure from artillery guns. The Cold War never ended. The Soviet Union never fell and maintained a strong grip on its satellite states. Conflict ignited as Soviet forces crossed into West Germany, triggering a NATO response. NATO counterattacks have slowed their advance and stabilized the front West German forces have now successfully counterattacked deep into the territory of East Germany, however our frontline is overstretched and vulnerable. We're now advancing north to straighten the frontline and consolidate positions before Soviet forces can regroup. After a series of successful attacks, East German forces have been pushed north, where they are more heavily entrenched. We must exploit our momentum and continue the advance, but reports confirm the presence of Polish forces in the area. WOLF 2 KPz 1A5A1 Leopard LION 3 FlakPz 1A1 Gepard
Friendly Forces
FOX 1 Mechanized Squad with attached Tank and Anti Air support - 1x TPz 1A0 Fuchs - 1x KPz 1A5A1 Leopard - 1x FlakPz 1A1 Gepard
Supporting Assets
- 3x M109G for artillery support
Enemy Forces
While most East German heavy armour in the area was disabled during the initial push east, enemy combat power has since recovered and they are now more firmly entrenched. Reinforcements have introduced larger numbers of tanks and heavier AFVs, in addition Polish forces have arrived with more tanks, AFVs and air-force support. Expect sustained combined-arms and fortified positions
Mission
TaskingFOX 1 is tasked with advancing north as far as the helibase, and once taken hold out until friendly relief forces arrive.
End-state
Enemy helibase taken and held
Execution
Commander's IntentThe intent for this mission is to push north and secure the key Helicoptor base in the North West to allow friendly forces to push in parallel.
Tasks and Sequencing
Phase 1: a) FOX 1, WOLF 2 & LION 3 will move via Route Gold across the enemy front line. b) Once near Objective Alpha, WOLF 2 & LION 3 will break away and move into BOF positions on the hills overlooking Objective Alpha to provide cover for FOX 1 as they move to Dismount Point Alpha. c) Once WOLF 2 & LION 3 are in position, FOX 1 will assault and secure Objective Alpha. Phase 2: a) Once Objective Alpha is sure, FOX 1 will prepare to move to Objective Bravo, while WOLF 2 & LION 3 reposition if required. b) Depending on the defenses visible from Objective Alpha. FOX 1 will likely call in Artillery support to cover the infantry as they move to assault and secure Objective Bravo. Phase 3: a) Once Objective Bravo is secure, FOX 1 will prepare to move to Objective Charlie, while WOLF 2 & LION 3 reposition if required. b) Depending on the defenses visible from Objective Bravo. FOX 1 will likely call in Artillery support to cover the infantry as they move to assault and secure Objective Charlie. Phase 4: a) Once Objective Charlie is secure, FOX 1 will mount up and prepare to move to Objective Delta, while WOLF 2 move to Objective Charlie to join the infantry force. LION 3 will move into a better position to cover off the potential air threat from the helicopter base itself. b) Once complete, FOX 1 & WOLF 2 will move via the designated route towards Objective Delta & Objective Echo. With WOLF 2 holding short to provide cover. c) Once moving, and depending when we get eyes on Objective Delta FOX 1 will likely call in Artillery support to cover the infantry as they move in to assault and secure Objective Delta, followed shortly by Objective Echo All infantry assaults will be planned on the ground based on the defenses put in place by enemy forces, intel suggests that the map will not be accurate in places when it comes to buildings and defensive emplacements.
