Situation

Background Information

INSURGENT ELEMENTS OPERATING IN THE AO HAVE EMPLACED MULTIPLE ANTI-TANK MINES ON PRIMARY VEHICLE AXES TO INTERDICT FRIENDLY CONVOYS. PREVIOUS CLEARANCE OPERATION (SILENT BIRD) REMOVED THE MAJORITY OF EMPLACED DEVICES, HOWEVER INTELLIGENCE AND BATTLEFIELD RECONNAISSANCE INDICATE SEVERAL DEVICES MAY HAVE BEEN MISSED AND REMAIN ACTIVE.

    Mission

    Tasking
    LOCATE AND NEUTRALIZE REMAINING ANTI-TANK MINES EMPLACED BY INSURGENT FORCES INSIDE THE AREA OF OPERATIONS.

    End-state
    ALL LOCATED ANTI-TANK MINES IN THE AREA OF OPERATIONS HAVE BEEN NEUTRALIZED VIA CONTROLLED DETONATION. FRIENDLY FORCES RTB ONCE MISSION OBJECTIVE COMPLETED.


    Execution

    Commander's Intent
    The intent is to do a quick drop near the enemy Area dismount and deal with the objective and mount up before the enemy know we where there.

    Tasks and Sequencing
    PHASE 0 ALL CALLSIGNS will be ready for last min brief at RP - 0 . At 1 min after start ex. Special equipment needed NVG Silencer No light No tracers Sapper should bring 6 demo blocks for blowing up the AT mine supplies. Initial mount up SIERRA 1 and SIERRA 1-2 in Griffin SIERRA 1-1 Eagle Falcon Should be covering the LZ and then focus on the Surroundings and provide situational updates for the team on the ground Other aircraft should be out of harms way but ready to support a quick pickup. PHASE 1 LZ eagle 1 for SIERRA 1-1 LZ Eagle 2 for SIERRA 1 and SIERRA 1-2 Clearing should be smooth and quick SIERRA 1-1 should clear the docks and find the supplies SIERRA 1-2 should provide exterior security and secure the LZ once the area is secure once charges placed and LZ secure. The aircraft should land within 30 seconds to extract the GCE Falcon Should scout out the upcoming LZ's while providing security PHASE 2 LZ Grizzly 1 is primary LZ unless Falcon is calls it contested We will move in to the objective each element securing the marked side on the map. Once supplies found SIERRA 1-1 should place the charges Once objective is clear SIERRA 1-2 Secures the LZ SIERRA 1-1 Makes sure all supplies are ready to detonate ALL CALLSIGNS will mount up as quickly as possible. PHASE 3 Depending if intel found we will act accordingly if not we will be RTB

    ALL CALLSIGNS will cross the LD fully loaded according to the units SOP. These supplies will come from the staging area. This basic load is expected to sustain the team throughout the mission, without support.
