--- OPERATIONS ORDER ---
Situation
Background InformationFollowing a heavy assault and costly fight for the chokepoint opening the way to the bulk of Everon, Blacksmith cavalry scouts have indicated massive force accumulation on the part of the Everonian National Guard, across several staging areas to our North and West. As the evening draws, we anticipate a likely night assault on defensive positions held by much of the taskforce across the isthmus designated The Levie Gap. Orders from Blacksmith are clear: Hold. The. Line. We cannot allow the enemy to re-take this vital ground and stall our momentum. Hold fast until dawn.
Friendly Forces
Archer Light Infantry mortar section Hammer motorized platoon Anvil motorized platoon
Supporting Assets
Supporting forces from Blacksmith RCT to be tasked based on most urgent need.
Enemy Forces
Everonian National Guard regulars supported by sparse mechanized/armoured platforms due to recent asset losses. Heavily entrenched and well-supplied.
Mission
TaskingArcher must hold the central position of our defensive line across the isthmus. Incidentally, this should be the area least focused upon during the enemy assault due to the heavily entrenched terrain and mixed minefields. Following a successful defence across all key fronts, Blacksmith will co-ordinate a massive counter-assault with intent of destroying staging areas and logistical positions, holding territory gains where feasible. To this end, reinforcements are being mustered and briefed South of Levie. To ensure the counter-assault's success, these forces will be kept in reserve for as long as possible. Should the front lines falter, we can draw upon these reinforcements to prop them up- but this will affect our chances of success in the morning. Thus, Archer's taskings are as follows: Primary Tasking -Hold the Levie Gap. Secondary Tasking -Conduct a successful dawn counter-assault upon ENG logistical positions in Chotain.
End-state
Positions secure along our initial defensive or secondary frontlines; Levie Gap in friendly hands.
Execution
Commander's IntentArcher platoon must hold fast. My intent for this mission is to delay the enemy's attempt to break through our flank and inflict substantial casualties doing so.
