Although previously thought to be an ally of the Akaryan Republic and it's government, it is unknown why such a large task force has been amassed or what their intentions are in this conflict. Russia has made no statement to the U.S. as of yet... _____________________________ During their own separate naval landings, Russian motorised infantry Rook company received extremely heavy resistance in their feet, including a counterattack on their main infantry landing ship, and their armoured vehicle carrier vessel was beached. THE ORBAT WILL BE SPLIT IN HALF AT STARTEX WITH ONE SQUAD STARTING AT A DOWNED HELO AND ONE SQUAD STARTING ON A SINKING LANDING CARRIER ( woops tee hee! :D ) Remaining forces are to fight their way off the two ships whilst recovering any supplies they require, as well as two BTR-80A (30mm) [RHS] that can be used to aid their next plan. Once organised, the platoon is to assault southwards to destroy enemy naval defenses that have been damaging the fleet, before responding to a potential enemy HVT in the area...

Friendly Forces
Russian Naval Infantry (Motorized) Our platoon consists of motorized infantry equipped with combat engineers and anti-tank units, supported by two BTR-80A (30mm) and a logistic element for resupply and repair. However, due to the failed landing attempt in the early hours of this morning and the enemy attack on our fleet, our platoon is split in two. Those of you that are the survivors of the crashed landing party must fight your way back to friendly forces, and the rest of you that are stuck on our main carrier... we are under siege. You must fight your way free and regroup with the rest of our platoon. Good luck all.

Mission

Tasking
Primary Objective: - Regroup and recover from failed naval assault. Secondary Objective: - Assault southwards to clear a path for the renaming fleet to land. Tertiary Objective: - Locate and eliminate HVT General Andrei Makovich who was recently spotted in the area.

Execution

Commander's Intent
My intent is to persevere in the face of imminent danger and achieve all we set out to do before fate turned on Rook Coy.

Tasks and Sequencing
PHASE 1 ROOK 9 & ROOK 2 grab equipment and supplies to repel the raid on the carrier. All enemies must be driven off. All personnel abandon ship. SINKING. Remaining ROOK elements use RHIBs to recover the assigned BTR with LIMA, then initiate the assault as planned. NOTE: ROOK COYCO was unable to transfer latest intel about General Makovich before the raid. If able, sweep the bridge and recover tracking data manually. ROOK 1 rallies at their crash site. RV: beached landing craft southwest Task: (1) Recover supplies, personnel; stage (2) initiate assault on OBJ VLAD (naval defences) (3) RV w/ LIMA, ROOK2&9 LIMA 4 Task: (1) Recover all possible supplies from landing craft (2) Defend (3) RV w/ROOK ROOK 2 & ROOK 9 Task: (1) Secure LZ (2) Assist OBJ VLAD (3) RV w/ ROOK 1 ALL CALLSIGNS Task (1) Seize OBJ VLAD (2) Seize OBJ DMITRY (3) RV GRAD, orientate south PHASE 2 ALL CALLSIGNS move south. CAUTION ROADBLOCK: Dismount at safe distance. Lead squad secures blocking danger area. Rear squad secures immediate vicinity with 5&25 scan, sets up at suitable vantage point as required. Platoon removes or circumnavigates blockage as required. Explosive ordnance permitted. BRIDGE: As ROADBLOCK, but rear squad crosses bridge first, secures far side. Convoy crosses one by one. Infantry remounts on the other side. TALL CREST: Dismount before cresting. Lead squad peeks the crest for danger to relay contact report if required. Rear squad dismounts, secures convoy with 5&25 scan. Remount, move on. AMBUSH: PUSH THROUGH CONTACT: PUSH THROUGH DISABLED VEHICLE: COIL around affected vehicle. Infantry dismount to secure danger area OR assault-through if ambushed.
