Situation

Background Information
QUBEC Platoon was unable to capture the enemy commander who was seen to escape via plane from Catalina. Intelligence from our British partners suggests he landed at an airfield to the south west. VOODOO are tasked to secure the airfield and the surrounding base and search for the commander. VOODO 1-3 & 2-3 FV432 Bulldog L111A1

We are aiming to test server performance without Headless Clients active for this next Sunday. Previous testing has shown overall stability at smaller scale. Whilst we are not expecting changes in how the AI behaves, we'd like to make sure everyone takes note of any weird AI behaviour you encounter during the operation and include it into your AAR after the op

Execution

Commander's Intent
Simply, our intent today is to capture the commander of the local forces- designated OBJECTIVE NEMO- who slipped our grasp in our last operation.

Tasks and Sequencing
PRIMARY TASKING: OBJECTIVE NEMO- Commander of local Colombian resistance forces. SECONDARY TASKING: OBJECTIVE MARLIN- Enemy-held airbase. Possible location for NEMO. Sweeping the base of enemy personnel will help secure our flanks before pushing onward. OBJECTIVE DORY- Enemy-held MOB. Possible location for NEMO. As the last likely spot that we know of, if NEMO is not present we will search for intelligence at enemy HQ structures. Each squad will be utilising their attached armoured vehicle as primary assault transport with main assault team mounted. A motorised vehicle for the squad element and secondary team/ any overfill will also be provided per squad. These can be left behind once reaching an objective and retrieved later if needed.

PHASE 1

Expect mounted travel along route Syndney. We do not expect any real resistance prior to the airbase, but it may be possible to encounter scouts or patrols as we approach moving through the town of Tubara and the other civilian structures as we advance South from the town. Preference is to destroy enemy elements as we come across them, to ensure we are not flanked from the rear once we start hitting objectives.

PHASE 2

Objective Marlin. Airbase is split by sectors and it is expected each sector is possible to execute as a squad- some sectors are split A/B to allow flexibility if enemy ground presence is not what we expect in a given area. Platoon will try to move cohesively as we move North-South clearing airbase sectors- communication on progress and needs will be important to keep platoon pacing. If any enemy positions exist on the East side of the sectors or over the runway, we will suppress the positions with vehicle fire whilst clearing the West, then decide on when to cross open ground. Priority targets at the airbase include enemy aircraft and other escape mechanisms to prevent objective NEMO's further escape. If NEMO is not present at OBJECTIVE MARLIN, we will regroup and resupply if needed before continuing to Phase 3.

PHASE 3

Objective Dory. Enemy MOB has good firing positions and 360 cover. Only entrances are located on the East (Main Gate) and the South (Secondary Gate). Considering we are mechanised, we have a couple of options for infil- the walls can be broken with a vehicle ram or with explosives. To this end we will provide a few charges to the squads to give them the second option. Primary intention is to hit the South side of Objective Dory first, as we expect helipads in Sector 7. As in Objective Marlin, sequential clearance of the sectors, with sectors split and intended per squad in this case- preference is to keep platoon in-line as we proceed either South-North (Primary) or North-South (Secondary).

Phase 4

Extraction of Objective Nemo. This phase will begin as soon as Objective Nemo is located. Go firm after completion of current objective and await immediate helivac of NEMO whilst defending positions. IF IN OBJECTIVE MARLIN- FIRM IN SEC 6A + 6B IF IN OBJECTIVE DORY- FIRM IN SEC 7A + 7B. Once Objective Nemo is evacuated, we will secure our positions and ENDEX there, followed by handoff to British forces who will be using our position as a springboard for future operations.

Administration/Logistics

Resupply
Spirit on standby for vehicle repairs. We expect to need 2x logpaks during this mission- at Objectives Marlin and Dory upon completion of each. With our operating in unknown territory and needing vehicle repairs, Spirit will need to be at a close stand-off to the platoon throughout.

Medical
- Medical support will be conducted in field (PAK in Field)
