Situation

Background Information
April 1st 1945 Okinawa Island Ryukyu Islands, Japan
After taking Iwo Jima months ago, the pacific armada is now moving towards Okinawa, an island located just 560km from the Japanese mainland and is a crucial step for a potential mainland invasion as it offers airbases and fleet anchorages. Operation Iceberg will be the largest operation in the Pacific theater and is a cooperation between the US Army, Navy and USMC.
