--- OPERATIONS ORDER ---
Situation
Background InformationDue to the recent efforts of KILO, we now have 2x Checkpoints outside of COP ROCCO. However, due to them being left, the Taliban has now captured these and are currently holding them. Unfortunately, while these were being built we lost 2x British Royal Marines, a number of vehicles and supplies. A knock-on effect of this will be that the Taliban’s morale will be higher than ever and we predict we will get hit hard.
Friendly Forces
1x Royal Marine Squad made up of 2x Fireteams of 6. With 1x Sniper team. For Arsenal's; BRAVO 1-1 go to RP-A BRAVO 1-2 go to RP-B PHANTOM 2-1 go to RP-C
Enemy Forces
TALIBAN INSURGENTS CONSISTING OF LIGHT VEHICLES AND INFANTRY. UTILIZING GORILLA WARFARE; IED'S, AMBUSHES AND HIT - AND - RUN TACTICS.
Mission
TaskingTo knock the Taliban's, we will take the checkpoints back. The Royal Marines will be hitting the 2x checkpoints at the same time. Using the cover of darkness to move close to the checkpoints, secure and reinforce. Once the checkpoints have been secured the British Army will station troops inside each checkpoint to maintain security. Once the checkpoints have been secured and the British Troops are securely inside, all units will be moving towards the town of Bezkheyl. Due to the recent attacks from the town of Bezkheyl on several occasions UNITAF forces have been given a warrant to sweep and clear the town at night. This is partly due to the locals being away at mass. With this we expect no civilians inside the town. By clearing the town of Bezkheyl we will send a message to the Taliban. That the British Army never gives up, and this is just the start.
End-state
Successfully taking the checkpoints back and allowing the troops from COP ROCCO to man them. Along with securing the town of Bezkheyl.
Execution
Commander's IntentThe purpose of the mission is to take back the two lost checkpoints and to secure the town of Bezkheyl.
Tasks and Sequencing
All Units will be starting from COP ROCCO. BRAVO 1-1 - Will leave the base on the Eastern side and make their way to a suitable location to be ready to breach their checkpoint OBJ. Will also have 1x Combat engineer attached to the Fireteam to clear the checkpoint. BRAVO 1-2 - Will leave the base on the Western side and make their way to a suitable location to be ready to breach their checkpoint OBJ. Will also have 1x Combat engineer attached to the Fireteam to clear the checkpoint. PHANTOM 2-1 - Will be leaving the base before BRAVO to make sure the teams are covered as they move. You will be leaving on the southern side and head towards Phantom OBJ. The checkpoint is still secure and you can use the tower to cover the two teams. Further tasking will come after. SUAV Operator - Will scan both checkpoints and update the map with known contact size and positions. Once checkpoints are secured, you will need to scan the town of Bezkheyl. Further tasking will come after. Once Checkpoints are secure and reinforced all elements will be moving towards Bezkheyl. Planning for this movement will be done once Checkpoints are secure.
The Taliban have placed IED's in and around the checkpoints.
Do not enter the checkpoint unless it has been cleared of IED's.
ALL GROUND FORCES WILL BE USING A VARIENT OF THE L119A1
This is due to the L85 not having the support for a suppressor.
All Units must have suppressors and night vision.
