--- OPERATIONS ORDER ---
Situation
Background InformationBritish Forces are engaged in Peacekeeping Operations in Helmand Province Afghanistan and are currently searching for known IED markers and known Taliban strongholds.
Friendly Forces
1x8 Man Squad (32 Commando, Royal Marines)
Supporting Assets
British QRF Forces stationed at FOB Jackson. Afghan National Police and Army Units may investigate shots fired, they are not to be fired upon other than in self defence.
Enemy Forces
Taliban Infantry and Improvised Fighting Vehicles.
Mission
TaskingBravo 1 is to Patrol out of FOB Jackson along the instructed route and investigate 3 compounds for varying reasons. Upon finishing their patrol the squad will assault a known Taliban Stronghold and destroy any and all assets they find.
End-state
Upon success or failure the squad will return to FOB Jackson along the same route. Transport from FOB Jackson can be arranged if deemed necessary by the field commander.
Execution
Commander's IntentTo destroy key Taliban Weapons, Ammunition and Vehicles and loosen their presence in the region.
Tasks and Sequencing
Bravo 1. will proceed along the established route in a patrolling stance. The IED Threat Level is RED -Objective 1. A compound on the eastern bank of the river. The squad is to gain access and try to find clues as to the out come of any residents. At approximately 00:30 locals reported shots fired after a loud confrontation between at least 4 men. The only occupants of the compound is Malik Muhammed and his family of 3, he is a Afghan Nation Army Sargent so respect and caution is advised. -Objective 2. Is the Southern Bridge into the town of Sangin. Friendly forces will do a standard IED search on the bridge to ensure its safe for civilian and military use. -Objective 3. Two Compound's will need searching as surveillance has flagged them as possible undercover IED factory's, no armed forces have been reported there but activity is unusual high all through the night. -Final Objective. Upon reaching the end of the combat patrol friendly forces are to stage an attack on a known Taliban stronghold, how this is achieved will be left up to the field commander as previous objectives may have lead to unforeseen Taliban movement/readiness..
Administration/Logistics
ResupplyResupply and Medical EVAC can be arranged through OUTLAW.
Medical
Friendly QRF and Extraction Forces can be rallied is necessary.

FOB Jackson has Mortar Capabilities and fire support can be requested by the Patrol IC through Outlaw 9.
