Situation

Background Information
Since taking back the checkpoints south-east of COP ROCCO we have received sporadic CONTACT from the mountains and TOWN TO the south-east of COP ROCCO. We are to continue our push to establish a stronger foothold around COP ROCCO.

TALIBAN INSURGENTS CONSISTING OF LIGHT VEHICLES AND INFANTRY. AMBUSHES AND HIT - AND - RUN TACTICS.


Mission

Tasking
BRAVO has been tasked with clearing the road south of the checkpoint of IEDs down to the local town of Sarhad and Ghorak. From there BRAVO will do a presence patrol through both towns and establish communication with the locals. If possible get a meeting with the local elders. Once patrol has been completed we will move north to obj-4 to clear the mountains and blow the caves. This will stop the taliban from moving in cover. Side Objective will be to find the bodies of two times British KIA and 1x Land Rover.

Completing clearing of road and mountain caves blown.


Execution

Commander's Intent
To gain a stronger foothold in the area and gain better relations with the locals.

Tasks and Sequencing
- BRAVO 1 and 2 will be inserted to OBJ 1 by GROUNDHOG. YOU will be relieve the engineer team who has cleared the road of IEDs up to OBJ 1. - GROUNDHOG will be used as troop protection along with providing a base of fire when needed. - BRAVO 2 Will split off route to complete presence patrol in OBJ 2 - BRAVO 1 will continue clearing the road of IEDs. And head towards OBJ 3 using the road. - GROUNDHOG will also provide LOGPAC and MEDIVAC support as required. Everyone par FTL, AR and CLS will need a mine detector Do not enter homes/buildings unless it has been confirmed that the Taliban are in them OBJ-1 - Relieve Royal Engineers (Assigned to Bravo 1 & 2) OBJ-2 - Complete Presence Patrol - Speak to locals - Gain Intel and relations (Assigned to Bravo 2) OBJ-3 - Complete Presence Patrol - Speak to locals - Gain Intel and relations (Assigned to Bravo 1 & 2) OBJ-4 - Seek and destroy enemy positions - Search Caves - Destroy Caves (Assigned to Bravo 1 & 2) OBJ-5 - Seek and destroy enemy positions - Search Caves - Destroy Caves (Assigned to Bravo 1 & 2) SIDE-OBJ - Find the bodies of two times British KIA and 1x Land Rover. Last seen in OBJ 4 location.

ROE MUST BE FOLLOWED AT ALL TIMES. THIS WILL BE SET PERMANENTLY TO - ORANGE. JUST BECAUSE THEY HAVE A GUN DOES NOT MEAN THEY ARE HOSTILE. CIVILIANS ARE CURRENTLY PERMITTED TO OPEN CARRY FIREARMS.
