--- OPERATIONS ORDER ---
Situation
Background InformationBattle-weary US combatants are to conduct one last patrol from Patrol Base Tumbleweed to COP Martin. From there, they will be flown out-of-country for their well-deserved vacation. Although the area is currently far from the frontlines, which has been pushed further south thanks to our capture of FOB Bushlurker and Miki's FOB, our intel suggests ISIS combattants are able to move further north under the guise of being refugees. Patrols along this route has thus increased in frequency.
Friendly Forces
1x squad with 1x EOD specialist and 1x Designated Marksman supported by 2x HMMVs.
Enemy Forces
As per intel, OPFOR infantry, non-standard tactical vehicles and IEDs can be expected in the AO.
Mission
TaskingPresence patrol in Limar, then move to COP Martin whilst clearing any and all IEDs on the road.
End-state
After having reached COP Martin, board a helicopter which will take us to Kalae Noowi Airbase. From there, we will ENDEX and await boarding to commence for a flight homewards.
Execution
Commander's IntentThe purpose of this patrol is to gain a better understanding of ISIS presence in the area. Checkmate 1 will speak with civilians in Limar, before we head to COP Martin for a flight to our home countries.
Tasks and Sequencing
STAGE 1 Checkmate 1-1 conducts a presence patrol NORTH and NORTHEAST Limar. Checkmate 1-2 conducts a presence patrol SOUTHEAST, SOUTH and WEST Limar. Checkmate 1-3 provides support if requested, otherwise stationed so as to keep security around the town NORTH and EAST. Goal for this presence patrol is not to breach structures, but to talk with civilians. Buildings are only to be breached in the case of OPFOR presence. STAGE 2 Both 1-1 and 1-2 will board 1-3's HMMVs, then the entire squad will move to the dismount marker NE of Limar. From there, we will move along the road on foot, looking for IED presence, defusing any IED we might encounter. At Mount marker, we will mount up, and drive the last bit up to COP Martin. Soldiers not directly involved with mine detection are asked to observe the immediate surroundings for any and all signs of OPFOR presence. STAGE 3 As we reach COP Martin, we will board a helicopter, ride it to Kalae Noowi Airbase, and ENDEX there.
