Situation

Background Information
In order to further extend the safety bubble for the locals, British Forces move to establish a permanent Observation Point (OP) on GurDur Mountain. The Taliban are known to use the mountain to spot troop movement, its unlikely they will give up the position without resistance. A squad of Royal Marines are dispatched to recon the area and secure it. They will also clear the road of IEDs to allow a clear path for logistics, and defend them until arrival.

Execution

Commander's Intent
The purpose of this mission is to establish a Foothold and make a permanent OP at this mountain top

Tasks and Sequencing
Squad will do a presence patrol in the town of Garmarud and then proceed south down the road and move west up the valley towards the OP area. 1-1 will take right side of valley 1-2 will take left side of valley After Op has been secured 1-2 will move down to secure the dirt road and clear it from IEDs 1-1 will provide overwatch and a 360 security form the OP point When Convoy is on the move we will provide overwatch and security while the convoy sets up at OP
