Operation Brimstone (2014), Routine Visit

Situation

Background Information
After driving out ISIS in the region, many of the US troops have withdrawn as well. Smaller outposts are still being maintained to prevent another spread of Radicalism. UNITAF is to conduct a Presence Patrol in the area regularly.

Friendly Forces
1x Platoon of US Army Rangers 2x Infantry Squads with EOD support 1x Vehicle Section with SOCOM Humvees

Supporting Assets
-SNA in the area.

Enemy Forces
-Nonstandard Armed Fighting Vehicles -IEDs -Standard Small Arms & RPGs

Mission

Tasking
-Conduct a Presence Patrol in the Area a) identify any possible isis locations or People/places of interest. b) engage with the local populas to gain a full view of the situation in the area. c) Look into the possibility of setting up a small CP at the end of route anvil.

End-state
Patrol Complete.

Execution

Commander's Intent
The purpose of this mission is to move in and reassure the civilian population that we are still here to help among the pullout. ISIS have been reported to be reorganising themselves in this area so we are conducting a patrol to try and seek them out, also with that bringing more security to the populace.

Tasks and Sequencing
Starting at FOB GCB a) Anvil will begin patrolling down route Anvil. b) Hammer will begin patrolling down route Hammer. c) Pavement will split and move between both callsigns providing support where necessary.
