--- OPERATIONS ORDER ---
Situation
Background InformationAfter neutralising the research facility south of Pyrgos, NATO moves to clear Chelkia and Dorida in preparation to take over Pyrgos. The FOB to the north of the AO will be used as a staging ground for further NATO movements west to assault Pyrgos and north to further pushback CSAT forces.
Friendly Forces
1 x Extended Platoon Command Sierra with embedded YABHON-R3 UAV 2 x Infantry squads with squad medics and darter UAVs 1 x Mechanised weapons team with embedded combat medic mounted in a Polaris 1 x Attached Merkava mk IV MBT section 1 x Logistics section with access to stompers and HEMTT's
Supporting Assets
Friendly forces are stationed at the new frontline patrol boat/research facilities to the west of the AO
Enemy Forces
CSAT have now repositioned some heavy assets towards Pyrgos and appear to be preparing to defend the city. The forces remaining in this AO appear to have been given instructions to improvise what defences they can as much as possible and delay NATO forces reaching the city to enable additional city defences to be prepared. Should the situation start to turn against CSAT they may push QRF into the AO from any of the northern approaches in an attempt to further delay NATO advances. Expect initial contacts to be primarily infantry and light vics. Expect QRF forces to contain heli and MBT assets approaching from the north.
Mission
TaskingTake the eastern side of the approach to Pyrgos and secure the northernmost FOB to use as a staging point for an assault on the city
End-state
Desired end state is the eastern approach to Pyrgos secured, continuing the encirclement began previously
Execution
Commander's IntentThe purpose of this mission is to clear CSAT forces from the East of the Pyrgos peninsula by liberating the towns of Dorida and Chalkeia. ENDSTATE is that NATO control the AO and have defeated any and all CSAT response.
Tasks and Sequencing
The mission is composed of three phases: Sector Alpha deals with a defensive position with attached bunkers blocking our route into the AO proper. Sector Bravo consists of the liberation of Chalkeia. Sector Charlie relies on the clearance of a medium sized OPFOR FOB, and the liberation of Dorida by NATO forces. Phase 1 occurs in our FOB in Panagia. SIERRA will mount up in logistical trucks and move to Dismount 1 supported by TANGO. This takes an off-road, beach route, where the hills prevent the defensive emplacement from seeing SIERRA as they move. SIERRA will then utilise a small gully from a historical stream, to approach to AP1, where SIERRA will assault the main defensive position and the surrounding bunkers. At all times SIERRA 3 will be in BOF, to allow SIERRA 1 & 2 to bound. TANGO will establish control over the east and western routes that CSAT could use to send a QRF, denoted as Route IRON and URANIUM. Once Sector Alpha is under NATO control, SIERRA, again using TANGO to cover flanks, will proceed NW, then N towards a petrol station, which will act as the AP for the assault on Chalkeia. SIERRA 3 will provide BOF from BOF 1, whilst SIERRA 1 & 2 clear sectors 1 & 2 respectively from SW to NE, clearing any CSAT HQ buildings and temporary military areas. TANGO will destroy a vehicle depot south of the town, before, again providing MBT cover from QRF route's OXYGEN and GOLD. TANGO are free to engage any OPFOR operating on the designated QRF routes, and must seek direct permission to engage anything within yellow boxes. With Sector Bravo under NATO control SIERRA will LOGPAK if needed before stepping off NE towards AP3, and SIERRA 3 moving to BOF2 to provide cover against any reinforcements from the mountain road to the FOB. SIERRA 1 & 2 will assault the FOB from AP 3, whilst TANGO covers the MSR and QRF route GOLD. Finally, SIERRA 3 will take their place on BOF 3 to provide BOF, TANGO will engage any QRF heading towards Dorida from West through East, and this will allow SIERRA 1 & 2 to move from AP4 to clear Sectors 3 & 4 respectively, clearing any CSAT buildings or areas of note, including HQ's.
Administration/Logistics
ResupplyLOGPAKs will occur as needed at LRPs 1, 2 & 3 dependent on platoon needs. Vehicle repair and rearm will occur at these LRPs unless specifically agreed for each instance between TANGO and LIMA.
