Situation

Background Information
Nato forces have invaded An Raveh, a small North African nation suspected of producing WMDs. Having taken a foothold in the East of the nation, Nato now turn their eyes to its capital in order to topple Dictator Abdalah Kaba. British forces are tasked with capturing Khan Bani Saad Airbase in a lightning first strike to facilitate further operations.

Enemy Forces
An Raveh's army largely consists of Soviet equipment. They have a large supply of T-72s and BTRs to hand Anti Tank and MG emplacements expected. An Raveh's air force, though mostly destroyed by the initial operations still possess some helicopters. Mostly MI-8s. An Raveh special forces are operating in the AO.

Mission

Tasking
Dog Platoon's overall tasking is to take the airfield and secure the canal crossings to cut off armoured reinforcements. Subtasking as follows: Take the river crossing Eliminate the local military HQ Capture or destroy military installations (Vehicle Depots, Supply Depots, Garrisons)

End-state
Airfield captured and canal crossings secure.

Execution

Commander's Intent
The purpose of the mission is to take out the enemy commander to disorganise and break enemy morale. Capture the airfield to deny the enemy and facilitate future use for combat operations.

Tasks and Sequencing
PHASE 0 ALL CALLSIGNS will move to Dismount - Alpha via Bridge Alpha from the staging point. Once DOG Platoon has crossed the canal they will move to their respective treelines. PHASE 1 ALL DOG elements will move up to clear the Defensive Line, using the treeline as cover, enemy AT guns are expected so all MASTIFFs will have to take caution, BULL 9 and BULL 1 will be stationed inbetween thje DOG elements to cover their advance. PHASE 2-4 Will consist of urban clearing; DOG 1 to clear the enemy HQ which is believed to have an enemy commander present, to be captured or killed. After which DOG 1 will move along the canal road, clearing buildings when required. DOG 2 will ASSAULT the SF base and clear buildings south of DOG 1 when required. DOG 3 will ATTACK the vehicle depot, after which they will clear buildings when required, parallel to DOG 1 & 2. BADGER 4 will mine the Canal break once it is secure and blow up the canal bridge once it is secure. PHASE 5 DOG 1 will ASSAULT the airfield from the North via the Airfield Tower. DOG 2 will ASSAULT the airfield from the west via hill 95. DOG 3 will relocate south and ASSAULT the compounds south of the airfield before joining the attack on the main terminal section. All DOG callsigns will hold on the western half of the airstrip. PHASE 6 Movement to be decided in the field.

Administration/Logistics

Resupply
Emergency resupply and LOGPAKs will be coordinated through DOG 9 and delivered by GROUND by BADGER 4. With LRPs most likely not being feasible, LOGPAKs will be provided on location.

Medical
- Medical support will be conducted in field (PAK in Field) The primary means of MEDEVAC is by GROUND conducted by FOX and requested via DOG 9 .
