Situation

Background Information
Illyrian forces are rumoured to be field testing unknown technology near the front lines and our intelligence is struggling to identify it. Command has authorised a Mechanised Squad to perform a quick raid behind enemy lines into the facility to uncover and extract the mystery research or technology found within.

Friendly Forces
1x Mechanised Squad with 2x BTR 80A support.

Supporting Assets
There are no known friendly units in the area. Upon the squad located and identified the technology, an MI-8 helicopter is on standby if such technology or research will need to be extracted outside of the capabilities of the squad.

Enemy Forces
The enemy in the AO is most likely mechanised infantry with IFV and APC support. No heavy armour has been reported in the AO as its a dense forest area. Squad must exercise coution not to cross the black line in order to not over-extend themselves.

Mission

Tasking
Squad is primary tasked with retriving unknown technology aswell as any and all intel or research on it. Their secondary objective is to, on route, clear out any known enemy positions.

End-state
Mission is considered complete when the squad secures the site and collects any and all intel/research and retrive the technology itself. Mission is considered a failiure, if the squad is unable to secure any intel/research or retrive the technology itself.

Execution

Commander's Intent
Commanders intent is to perfom several quick raids onto enemy positions in the area to force the enemy back, followed by a direct assault onto the research facility in an effort to capture sensitive material intact

Tasks and Sequencing
PHASE 0 ALL CALLSIGNS will stage at FOB "Kugar" for organisation, equipment and final mission briefing. PHASE 1 LIGHTNING 1-3 will transport LIGHTNING 1, LIGHTNING 1-1 and LIGHTNING 1-2 via shortest route to area marked "Sierra Echo". From here, LIGHTNING 1-1 and LIGHTNING 1-2 will conduct an infantry assault on an enemy checkpoint, overrunning it quickly before assaulting an enemy camp of unknown purpose. LIGHTNING 1-3 will guard likely routes of enemy reinforcements and assist as required. With the camp cleared, LIGHTNING 1-1 and LIGHTNING 1-2 will remount and prepare to conduct similar maneouvres from positions marked "November Echo", "November Charlie", "Charlie Charlie" PHASE 2 consists of the assault on the facility proper. "Whiskey Charlie" will be the final dismount point in enemy territory, having another enemy checkpoint attributed to it in addition to the facility itself. This should be executed in a similar fashion to prior dismounted assaults. It is imperative that the facility remain intact until sensitive materials are extracted. Administration/Logistics

Resupply
In addition to the combat load carried by LIGHTNING 1-1 and LIGHTNING 1-2 , LIGHTNING 1-3 will carry enough supples for 1 full LOGPAK. The extraction of sensitive material will be handled by a friendly logistical unit utilising air transport. We are extremely confident that there is nothing of a CBRN nature in any of todays objectives

Medical
Casualties and medical personnel responsible for them will be carried by LIGHTNING 1-3 while their teams proceed in order to conserve momentum PAK in field will be enabled

Rules of Engagement
As we lack capacity to carry them, EPWs are to be stripped of weaponry and communications equipment and left in a safe location where they can be found by their forces at a later time.
