--- OPERATIONS ORDER ---

Situation

Background Information
Following assaults on allied aircraft, platoons RANGER and HITMAN confront an anti-aircraft threat while clearing enemy positions. An urgent task soon directs them to raid enemy strongholds, aiming to free Globex personnel held after an attack on their refinery, guarded by a PMC. With the AA threat neutralised, two Chinooks, callsign PAVEMENT, equipped with medical teams, are deployed for ground suppression, medical aid, and extraction support. Facing a looming sandstorm, the platoons hasten to complete their mission.

Friendly Forces
RANGER and HITMAN light infantry platoons at their respective patrol bases. PAVEMENT 5-1 and 5-2 CH-47's conducting local resupply have been placed on standby for airlift and support, Two MERT teams, also attached have been embarked for this task.

Supporting Assets
- Missing Globex personnel are expected to be present in towns, as are civilians - ION PMC are stationed at all Globex plants to provide local security from Taliban attacks.

Enemy Forces
- The Taliban are expected to have armed technicals with the occasional outdated soviet APC. - There are two Anti-Air positions that we identified via satellite photos. - Taliban strongholds and cells exist in most towns and villages and they are likely to arm themselves on our presence. - There are prolific bomb-makers in this region, and the use of IEDs is widespread on our frequent patrol routes.

Mission

Tasking
Primary Objectives - OBJ-Y and OBJ-A - Destroy AA to open up the temporary no fly zone - OBJ-Z and OBJ-B - Locate and Secure 6 missing Globex workers who are believed to be held hostage in Taliban strongholds in nearby towns and recover them safely back to Garibaldi Airbase Secondary Objectives (Pavement 5-1/5-2 Only) - OBJ G and OBJ V - Deliver supplies to Western Globex Oil Fields - Facilitate Logistics for LRP MIKE (North) and LRP LIMA (South) - When permitted by the no-fly zone, support the GCE with airlift, suppression and Medical - Transfer Hostages and Casualties to the Field Hospital at the Airbase

End-state
On completion of primary objectives, return to Brooks Airbase for debriefing and rotation.

Execution

Commander's Intent
The purpose of this mission is to hit two confirmed AA positions simultaneously this morning in the North and South of our Patrol Sector. Due to the downing of an allied aircraft, our sector is currently demarked as a no-fly-zone. The nearest patrol bases of RANGER and HITMAN platoons will conduct the assaults as they are best placed to do so. Upon completion, the nearby town/villages will be searched and patrolled for any evidence of Taliban presence and intelligence gathering. From which Platoons will be airlifted to conduct hostage recovery on two suspected Strongholds. Should either Platoon come intro trouble, the other will be mobilised to support.

Tasks and Sequencing
RANGER - Exit the patrol base to the South-south-east patrolling 2kms on foot via hill 376 and hill 420, into an assault on OBJ-A - On success, search and patrol Telagh to the west for signs of Taliban activity - Extract to LRP-LIMA for regroup and resupply. - Insert to TLZ Charlie to assault a Taliban position at the southern oil field and conduct OBJ B - Locate and Secure Globex Hostages at Bir Al Huffay - Extract with hostages/casualties to LRP-LIMA HITMAN - Exit the patrol base to the West patrolling 700m on foot into an assault on OBJ-Y - On success, search and patrol nearby Akka to the west for signs of Taliban activity - Extract to LRP-MIKE for regroup and resupply. - Insert to TLZ XRAY to find and raid a Taliban stronghold in Mal and conduct OBJ Z - Locate and Secure Globex Hostages - Extract with hostages/casualties to LRP-MIKE PAVEMENT - Conduct resupply missions as outlined in secondary objectives - Once permitted, orbit the area of operations and provide Recon, Fire Support and Airlift for GCE platoons - Insert medical personnel as required - Provide extractions as required - Communicate with ground based Forward Air Controllers

Administration/Logistics

Resupply
All teams will use LRP-MIKE and LRP-LIMA for sustainment. When resupplying a Platoon will embark a CH-47, the aircraft will land at the assigned LRP and either remain on the ground fully spooled or will return to orbit until the element is ready for onward tasking. The LRPs are small convoy deployed resupply points in the desert, far from any built up areas. We will avoid on-task resupply at all costs.

Medical
The two MERT teams will initially be embarked up PAVEMENT 5-1 and PAVEMENT 5-2 however as soon as practically possible one MERT team will be inserted to each Platoon, join their Platoon HQ frequency and use the callsign MERT 5-1 or MERT 5-2 (depending on the helicopter in which they started) and shall setup a temporary CCP. Onward they will move at the discretion of the Platoon HQ. In a MCI scenario, Company HQ may opt to respond both MERT to a single tasking.

Rules of Engagement
EPWs shall be turned over to Platoon HQ's and/or MERT for extraction.

Fire Support Plan
In accordance with SOP

Close Air Support
PAVEMENT 5-1 and PAVEMENT 5-2 will provide ground suppression using door mounted chaingun upon authorisation from either Forward Air Controller of the respective AO.

IMPORTANT SIGNAL INFORMATION - The Company HQ frequency shall be 45.0mhz - on this Frequency will be CROSSROAD H, RANGER 9 and HITMAN 9 - The air control frequency shall be 80.0mhz - on this Frequency shall be RANGER 8 (FAC), HITMAN 8 (FAC) and PAVEMENT 5-1 and PAVEMENT 5-2, including MERT Officers. - MERT Officers shall use the callsign MERT 5-1 or MERT 5-2, depending on the CH-47 in which they are originally embarked (per the ORBAT). - Only the pilots in command shall use the PAVEMENT 5-1 or PAVEMENT 5-2 callsigns. - MERT 5-1 and MERT 5-2 shall join the respective Platoon HQ frequency of the Platoon in which they are deployed to support, if both Platoons enter the same AO, then MERT 5-1 and MERT 5-2 shall instead report to the Company HQ frequency. ALL aircraft movements in the AO, outside of secondary objectives must be authorised by Forward Air Controllers, the RANGER 8 FAC as the Company FAC shall take precedence over the HITMAN 8 FAC, if applicable.
