Situation
Background Information

Friendly Forces
US Marine Amphibious landing force comprised of: ECHO Mechanized Platoon equipped with: 2x AAVP-7A1 1x M1A1 Abrams 1x AN/TWQ-1 Avenger LIMA Logistical Support Element equipped with: - landing crafts - several logistical vehicles US 7th Fleet on standby to provide aerial and artillery support.
Supporting Assets
BAF forces dug in and expecting relief to the northeast.
Enemy Forces
The PLA forces on the island are fresh, well equipped, motivated and highly trained. Intel suggest they will be expecting the landing on the mainland itself, thus first contact should be relatively easy. Initial defences have been set up, so expect APCs and IFVs, but heavy armour will take a while to relocate, giving enough time for our forces to take up defensive positions once they arrive.
Mission
TaskingECHO platoon is tasked with spearheading the landing. Hit the beaches with maximum aggression, drive the PLA from their initial defences and dig in to defeat their QRF(s), establishing a beachhead that the second wave can use to conquer the island.
End-state
Mission Success: Significant enough beachhead established for the second wave to be able to land. Mission Failure: Marines repelled or driven back into the water after landing.
Execution
Commander's IntentPRIMARY OBJECTIVE: Secure a beachhead and foothold on the south-western island to support later landings and logistics. SECONDARY OBJECTIVE: Seek and destroy enemy defenses such as long-range anti-air, artillery and supply depots. ! ECHO-1 is to follow all AP-1 markers, echo-2 is to follow all AP-2 markers ! ____________________________________________________________________________________________________
