Situation

Background Information
A military coup has been announced in the region. We are deploying to the outskirts of Al Salman, a city of high cultural importance in the region and it's airfield making it a key position for control of the area. UNITAF has been hired to provide the first response to the situation. With the short preparation time and current situation we have not been able to secure any armoured assets. Our mechanics have been able to provide us with Technicals using weapons we could get our hands on during our infil. After our successful establishment in the AO, we are to delay the entry of enemy reinforcements into the city.

Supporting Assets
Reserve forces remain stationed at STARTEX camp. Coalition forces are scheduled to arrive in a couple days, we can expect scout forces to arrive in the AO.

Enemy Forces
We are expecting the full might of the enemy military, be prepared to face against soviet era tanks, AFVs and Vietnam era US equipment. Transport helicopters are also known to be used for the deployment of infantry and recon. Any forces inside the city are designated as non-valid targets. Only combatants outside the city limits can be engaged.

Mission

Tasking
The main objective is to disrupt the movement of army forces into the town and deny complete occupation. We are not authorised to enter or fire into the city proper.

End-state
Should the mission be marked complete, or our forces are rendered unable to complete the objective, all remaining elements are to regoup at STARTEX Camp for EXFIL out of the AO.
