--- OPERATIONS ORDER ---

Situation

Background Information

Last mission UNITAF elements successfully secured a foothold in Molatian territory whilst finding valuable intelligence at Camp Reedbuck. Reedbuck was uncovered to be a POW camp in which Molatian scientists were conducting tests on Afrene civilians. Intel and recon teams have traced the POWs to Mangomak Island in the North East of the Isla Duala region. Intel gathered by UNITAF operatives in the field suggests that MacHida is the facility to which the POWs were taken.

Mission

Tasking

UNITAF elements will conduct a raid on Mangomak Island to rescue the POWs and disable chemical research targets. We are also aware of the presence of a large chemical research facility also situated on Mangomak but are unsure as to it's actual location.

Priority objective will of course be the facility supposedly containing the POWs. The civilians must not be allowed to be extracted or executed as a result of UNITAF actions. Once the hostages are secure they are to be airlifted to safety whilst ground teams take on the rest of Mangomak Island- finding and disabling the chemical research facility is paramount in aiding Afrene's defence of their citizens.

Since UNITAF's naval assault on Taris Island, Molatia has put up sea defences in the form of minefields. Ground teams will therefore conduct an aerial insertion to Mangomak Island. A special operations team will be dispatched the morning of the assault to sabotage and disable RADAR and Anti-Air installations around the AO.

Rules of Engagement

Friendly Forces

Afrene have restricted civilian airspace around Kinsella international for the day to allow UNITAF use. Afrene also conducted a bombing raid over the main Molatian airfield to disable aircraft stationed there. We estimate that airfield should be out of action for a couple days so fixed wing attacks based from there should be impossible.

Enemy Forces

Little is known about Mangomak Island since it is highly restricted and used for Military testing and research. Heavy armour attracts a lot of attention and will likely not be present on the island itself. MacHida will not be fielding fixed wing attack craft since the airstrip is reserved for transport.

Civilian Presence

Civilians are heavily restricted from entering Mangomak Island but may be present in small numbers in the settlements such as they are. Excercise standard operating procedure when dealing with civilians.

Weather

The fog has thankfully cleared for our operation. The main storm front is just passing overhead and will taper off over the coming days.
