Mission
TaskingMine the road into the airfield to delay enemy QRF, take out AA and sabotage enemy positions in the woodland area
Execution
Commander's IntentThe purpose of this mission is to disrupt enemy capabilities and restrict MSR access in order to support the upcoming BLUFOR efforts to seize the Náměšt Airbase. Key Tasks: * Place mines at key avenues of approach, in particular at the MSR from Žitovice to Domoraz, in order to interdict quick reaction forces from Žitovice * Destroy remaining AA capabilities in the northern parts of the Náměšt Airbase * Conduct reconnaissance in the general area, and report any OPFOR activities of interest up the chain * Remain undetected in order to not increase OPFOR alert levels ahead of the airfield seizure operation End State: OPFOR abilities to respond to the airfield seizure operation are restricted. OPFOR AA capabilities neutralised. SF operators back at camp undetected.
Tasks and Sequencing
The mission will be completed in 3 main phases.
1) INFIL
Objective: The element moves safely to OperationaObjective Rally Point 4 Actions: The element departs camp with a combat load sufficient for the entire mission. The element moves through Waypoints 1-3, arriving at ORP4 without detection. Throughout this movement, the element ensures vigilance, and reports any new intelligence up the chain - particularly concerning the PIRs detailed below.2) MINES
Objective: Mine the MSR between Žitovice and Domoraz Actions: The element, upon reaching ORP 4, does some quick reconnaissance to explore potential mining locations. Upon identification of suitable locations, depending on their locations in relation to each other, the team may split up into two, one sapper each, and start placing mines as appropriate. Upon completion, the team moves on to ORP5.3) ANTI-AIR
Objective: Neutealise remaining AA pieces at the northern end of Námêšt Airbase. Actions: From ORP 5, the element identifies appropriate infiltration routes and the location of the anti-air position(s). The sappers will then prepare the anti-air positions with explosives, before the element leaves the airbase and moves towards waypoint 6. Upon successful completion of the objective, the team moves back to the camp through waypoints 6-9.PRIORITY INTELLIGENCE REQUIREMENTS (PIR)
1) What kind of enemy activity exists in the forests west of the airfield? 2) What is the OPFOR posture in the AO? 3) What, if any, upgrades and defences have been installed at the airbase? 4) What are the preferred OPFOR routes for logistics, quick reaction forces, and other troop and supply movements?Contingencies
In case the element is discovered and positively identified prior to the mine laying task has completed, this objective will be aborted, and efforts will be to lose OPFOR attention. If OPFOR awareness has sufficiently dropped, the element will continue with its AA objective. In case the element is discovered and positively identified during the AA neutralisation task, the element will do its upmost to complete the task before aborting. However, if the element is faces with overwhelming enemy force, the element may be forced to abort. Exact location of the AA piece must if so be communicated to HQ for further consideration.Administration/Logistics
