--- OPERATIONS ORDER ---
Situation
Background InformationUS Forces have been called to help the destabilized government of Tanoa. A recent coup d'êtat where the president of Tanoa has been assassinated has resulted in the invasion of the Archipelago by Soladi Forces. The Soladi Federation justifies this occupation by claiming the Tanoan Senate has agreed to join the Federation in a democratic process. With both Tanoan separatists headed by the Vice-President and Soladi claiming control of the Island, the US has entered in an agreement with the Tanoan government to assist in their reestablishment.
Friendly Forces
ROMEO US Infantry Platoon JULIET Merkava Mk IV (M2A4 Slammer) in support of ROMEO SHIELD Logistics Section in general support of the combat elements. An LCC-1 is assigned to assist in ship to shore transport.
Supporting Assets
US Navy Ships in escort of the MEU, conducting air operations to defend the fleet against potential attacks. No other assets will be in support, this is a precise strike without intent of a invasion of the Archipelago. Tanoan Separatist forces are not operating in the area of operation.
Enemy Forces
Soladi Forces are supported by CSAT members, giving them access to armoured vehicles, attack helicopters and heavy weapons such as MANPADs or man-portable AT missiles. The island of Tuvanaka has been evacuated of all civilains, with it being used as training grounds for the Soladi forces.
Mission
TaskingROMEO is to CAPTURE Tuvanaka's port and airbase to reduce their capability in the area. Once the island is in full control of US forces, we will be able to use it as a center of operation.
End-state
Ground forces are required to clear the areas to limit damage to the infrastructure. Should the plan be unable to be completed, forces are to fallback to allow supporting assets to eliminate the target areas.
Execution
Commander's IntentOur intent is to decisively engage the enemy strongpoints to capture the island and airfield.
Tasks and Sequencing
PHASE 0 ALL CALLSIGNS prepare equipment and sustainment for an amphibious assault. PHASE 1 Romeo and Juliet secure their respective LZ and orientate north to do the same with the village of Nani. The LOA of P1 is north of Nani to aid organisation. Forces should aim to orientate quickly and move on. Rapid deployment and advance are vital to shock and awe the enemy. PHASE 2 ROMEO advance ahead of Juliet along the road into the north side of Belfort via a T-junction on the MSR. Infantry screens for near threats to Juliet on the way. JULIET support by fire from an outside vantage point. While Romeo clears the port town, Juliet also screens the north approach. Romeo platoon clears the town squad-wise along each road. ROMEO 1 bounds building by building on the west. ROMEO 2 sweeps the east along the MSR. Both squads coordinate to remain on-line. Converge on the port. The platoon finishes clearing the town together by circling back north along the east extent of town. PHASE 3 All forces advance along the MSR northwest to Tuvanaka with Romeo screening near threats for Juliet. Juliet provide support by fire with freedom of movement. Romeo move to AP3. ROMEO 1 break off right to flank from the northeast. ROMEO 2 provides BOF, then assault straight in near the MSR. Both squads support each other and remain on-line while clearing building by building towards northwest. R2 LOA is at the second T-junction. R1 LOA is the petrol station. Both squads pivot left to advance along the roads towards the harbour area. Juliet may advance into town and up to the petrol station to screen and support.
