--- OPERATIONS ORDER ---
Situation
Background InformationFor the past eight years, Habib Husain al-Hamid has been leading cells of armed insurgent militias all across Iraq. As well as orchestrating attacks against Iraqi government officials and Iraqi Army leadership due to their cooperation with the United States following the conclusion of the Iraq war in 2011. These insurgent cells are also responsible for cross-border incursions into the neighbouring countries in order to supply and arm terror groups to strike against US bases and civilian population centers abroad. Now, with the approval from the US president and assistance from CIA field agents, USSOCOM plans to capture Husain al-Hamid in a daring raid into Eastern Sa'Hatra in Northern Iraq. US Army Rangers and Delta Force operators stationed at FOB Winchester prepare to strike at dawn on June 3rd, 2021.

Supporting Assets
Elements from the Iraqi 7th Infantry Division are operating in the area of operations, with the task of engaging rebel forces in the outskirts of Sa'hatra.
Enemy Forces
The Harakat Hezbollah al-Nujaba enemy force consists mainly of light infantry/armed civilians and technical gun trucks modified with improvised weapon platforms. Captured APCs acquired from Iraqi Army bases have been used in engagements previously but we believe these assets are limited.
Mission
TaskingUS Army Rangers and Delta Force operators have been tasked with the capture of the Harakat Hezbollah al-Nujaba leadership currently operating in the Northern Duhok province of Iraq.
The Targets

• CAPTURE PRIORITY

End-state
The desired end-state of this operation is with General Habib Husain al-Hamid in custody and Karim Hassan Fashid successfully rescued from the target building. The secondary objectives involving the clearance of Nisul and the highways leading into Sa'hatra is preferred so that good standing reputation can be maintained with the Iraqi Government. In the event of complications leading to mission failure, all elements should return to FOB Winchester for debriefing.
Execution
Commander's IntentThe purpose of this mission is to facilitate and simultaneously execute the capture and extraction of both the two briefed HVT and the rescue target.
Tasks and Sequencing
STAGING ALL CALLSIGNS prepare for the mission at the airbase. ALPHA platoon embarks as Stryker ICV convoy via Route Alice: <<-- BRAVO 4-4 -- (ALPHA 1 in BRAVO 4-2) -- (ALPHA 9 in BRAVO 4-1) -- (ALPHA 2 in BRAVO 4-3) << DELTA 5 board their designated helicopters for rooftop infiltration via Route Delilah (airborne).
OBJ Sierra
Purpose: Clear the town of Nisul for subsequent garrisoning of friendly and allied forces and rear security. Threat: very high hostile presence Considerations: Allied Iraqi Army forces assaulting OBJ Leone northwest of OBJ Sierra; minimal civilian presence → strict ROE. ALPHA dismounts 200 m northeast of OBJ SIERRA, ref. foliaged Y-intersection (027 064). ALPHA 1 takes right flank sweeping west for initial rear security. Pivot left (south) at the final building short of the LOA to converge with 2 at the intersection. ALPHA 2 takes left flank sweeping southwest to anchor at the first southbound intersection (025 063). Go firm and establish a hasty cordon until 1 joins. Both squads converge, then sweep south in a bounding fashion. BRAVO trails close behind to screen the flanks, the road ahead far and the rear throughout. All units must take all care to PID and deconflict with the Iraqi Army assault on OBJ LEONE. ALPHA remounts the convoy in the same order at the southernmost extent of OBJ Sierra, rough grid 025 058.OBJ TIGRIS
Purpose: Route clearance for IED/mines, roadblocks, emplacements and ambushes prior to extraction. Threat: very high; IED/mines, high-calibre static emplacements, technicals Considerations: Maintain high ability to remount as required for rapid progress along Route Alice. BRAVO leads the convoy along Route Alice with high spacing to minimise collateral threats from mines/IEDs. At a suitable position on or near MSR Falcon, ALPHA dismounts BRAVO. Hostile fighting positions are unknown; dismount point to be decided to prioritise rapid progress. On dismount: immediate 5/25 check. ALPHA screens the near flanks by bounding movement along either side of MSR Falcon utilising all possible cover. BRAVO maintains high spacing with Stryker ESV at the front. On contact: Strykers deploy smoke as required. Immediately establish fire superiority. Alpha Rangers lead the way and conduct decisive dismounted fire-and-manoeuvre towards hostile fighting positions.OBJ MAINE
Purpose: Capture and exfiltrate the HVTs and rescue target.
Threat: extreme
Considerations: Individual judgement.
DELTA 5 infiltrate the target building via sequential rooftop landing.
Immediately breach and secure all targets.
Defend.
ALPHA move in via Route Alice from the west, dismounting ref. International Hotel in grid 048 030.
Prioritise securing Points Gamma & Zulu, ref. adjacent intersections to target building.
ALPHA 1 moves and screens south from Point Gamma anchoring at Point Zulu.
ALPHA 2 clears the surrounding area of the target building to support Delta's immediate extraction, then anchoring at Point Gamma.
DELTA 5 secures the HVT and rescue targets in BRAVO.
ALPHA and DELTA break contact towards the International Hotel.
DELTA 5-1 dismounts the OP and joins the convoy for exfil.
ALL CALLSIGNS mount the convoy and break contact via Route Alice.
Administration/Logistics
ResupplyUnit sustainment is to be carried on-board Bravo 4-1 and handled by the attached US Army engineers. Additional logistical needs may be requested from callsign Kingfish on freq. 87 MHz; this will take time to prepare and dispatch. During phase 1 and 2, Delta operators will be isolated from friendly units, so are expected to carry enough supplies to maintain combat effectiveness until Alpha and Bravo callsigns can rendezvous at OBJ Maine.
Medical
In accordance with standard operating procedure, PAK in field is enabled
Rules of Engagement
Prisoners of war are to be transferred to US military police units in Nisul once it has been cleared of enemy combatants. Prisoners of war will be the responsibility of Alpha 9.
Fire Support Plan
None available
Close Air Support
Raven callsigns are available to support the Delta force operators at objective Maine, and will be handled by the Forward Air Controller attached to the Ranger RRC element, callsign Delta 5-1.
