--- OPERATIONS ORDER ---
Situation
Background InformationFollowing a miltiary coup in the region of Pastable, US forces from a nearby base are heading into the capital to secure the Embassy hosting multiple NATO countries. The military having called martial law and established blockades on the main routes in and out of the region, we will have to push fast to reach the Embassy personnel. Expected Level of Combat: ★★★ Expected Level of RP: ★ Expected Difficulty: ★★ Three-star rating: ★ Little to none expected ★★ Decent amount expected ★★★ Heavy emphasis / main focus of Operation
Friendly Forces
US Infantry Platoon and Merkava tank Platoon have been dispatched as the QRF towards the embassy. Under PAPA 9 Company Commander: Two fighting platoons have been organised with the elements, TANGO and FOXTROT. Due to limited seating, when moving organically the Platoon Leader is to act as Commander of the 3 Vehicle. If dismounted, 3 will come under control of the 2 Section Commander. JULIET 4 Engineering element will be in support of the entire operation to provide vehicle recovery and support with Nemmera Combat Recovery Vehicles.
Supporting Assets
A Platoon sized force is stationed at the embassy to ensure close protection. They have not been engaged yet by the enemy but have been unable to leave the compound under enemy threats. Due to proximity with civilian infrastructure and housing and enemy potential AA threats, no air or fire support will be available during the operation.
Enemy Forces
Enemy Military has concentrated their forces in and around the capital to execute the coup. There does not seem to be an established central command within the military forces in the AO, each unit seems to have different Rules of Engagements . Reports from embassy security element has confirmed of multiple AFVs and Tank elements surrounding their area, with concentration near the presidential palace. Precision strikes onto the airbase has rendered most of the enemy air force stationed nearby unable to act.
Mission
TaskingPAPA Company is to make their way through the town and liaise with the embassy personnel, assisting them in protection or evacuation as the situation evolves.
End-state
Safety of the embassy and civilian personnel within the embassy is key. If the embassy has been taken over by the enemy and our forces are unable to reach and retake the embassy, the mission will be considered failed and a general retreat is to be executed to limit the losses of assets.
Execution
Commander's IntentThe intent is too push trough the blockade and reinforce the Embassy Compound until further instructions are given
Tasks and Sequencing
PHASE 0 All elements ready for brief 5 min pas the start EX. at RP - 0 All vehicles should be in convoy order already on the road. Convoy order will be TANGO , PAPA , JULIET .FOXTROT , All drivers and vehicle commanders need to be on 35 which will be the convoy net. only needed when in full convoy formation. PHASE 1 Drive towards WP Delta where: TANGO will split off and engage objective 1a FOXTROT will keep moving and engage objective 1b Once secured LRP Alpha will be activated to resupply both platoons for the push ahead. PHASE 2 Convoy order will be TANGO , PAPA , JULIET .FOXTROT ,Foll The intent is to follow the black line towards the Embassy. If black line is blocked forward platoon will hold off Rear platoon will take front and find a new route . Other platoon will break contact and follow as soon as all elements are moving. This procedure we will be repeating until destination reached. PHASE 3 Once Embassy reached Assume positions which will be depending on platoon position First platoon in convoy will set up facing North east down the road towards the Palace but not exposing their vehicles Infantry should take up position in OP 1 protecting 180 so both Vehicle positions have close infantry protection. The rear platoon will setup south west and breach the compound with explosives near the helicopter pads marked on map. Vehicles should setup to cover the approach without risking them self. Infantry should secure the landing pad area first to provide JULIET the option to setup a LRP inside a secure area. After securing landing pads infantry should clear the embassy compound keeping PID high due to unknown situation. Prioritization will be to secure all friendly personnel and any request they have. PHASE 4 React to enemy contact and request of personnel on the ground. if no friendly personnel is found. Destroy evidence and assets. and fallback the same way we came. grabbing as many body bags we can fit.
