Five-Star Rating System
Combat Intensity:☆☆☆☆Roleplay Emphasis:☆Difficulty:☆☆☆
Friendly Forces
Bundeswehr Assault Platoon: Our platoon comprises mostly of foot-based infantry equipped with anti-tank capabilities for ambushing and assaulting Soviet reinforcements. We are supported by a small logistical team for platoon resupply, along with servicing of a single MBT detachment who will also suppport from overwhelming Soviet forces. - Helmets provided but no body armour. - Leopard 1A3 MBT support. - Logistical support for infantry and MBT. - Mortars on station through ZULU.
Supporting Assets
Bundeswehr Frontline Forces: our primary forces are defending the main frontline, however once we have broken through the enemy flank, they will likely be in a position to assist with friendly armour and potentially air support. - Armoured reinforcements. - medical support for emergencies. - mortar support. - potential air support.
Enemy Forces
Soviet Armed Forces: The enemy are primarilly flanking defense troops who have reinforced their positions with minefields, checkpoints and rear-guard installations such as anti-air defenses. They will be supported by motorized QRF, however the more losses they take the more equipped their reinforcements will be, such as MBTs and attack helicopters. - Infantry wear helmets but rarely body armour. - Often supported by BTRs and BMPs. - Gradually supported by MBTs. - Likely reinforced with mortars.
Mission
TaskingPrimary Objective: - Infiltrate and assault the enemy flank in order to draw their forces away from frontline fighting positions. Secondary Objective: - Capture or destroy enemy supporting installations such as anti-air batteries or supply depots. Teritary Objective: - Retrieve any intel regarding enemy activity or positioning in and around rosche city.
End-state
Mission Complete: - enemy flank exploited. - enemy reinforcements repelled. - enemy installations captured or destroyed.
Execution
Commander's IntentThe purpose of this mission is to decisively engage the enemy's weak flank to draw support from strongpoints as a diversion.
Tasks and Sequencing
Staging ADDER, BULL & CASTLE prepare for an immediate advance into hostile territory through scouted minefields. ADDER 1 and 2 initially split to clear their respective flanks, with BULL in support of ADDER 2 on the east via the road. PHASE 1 ADDER 2 assaults the CHECKPOINTS at two junctions south of the marked AA installation. ADDER 1 and BULL assault the single CHECKPOINT along their approach. The CHECKPOINTS serve as defensive positions to repel a suspected immediate counter-attack. This is the desired outcome of the assault. Both squads must dig in and decisively drive back the assault prior to a further advance. BULL should expect to screen the east road northbound, with freedom to manoeuvre along the NW-SE road along the CHECKPOINTS for support. PHASE 2 ADDER 2 crosses PL1 to seize and disable or destroy the AA installation from the east. ADDER 1 supports by fire from the south, screening the left flank for further counterattacks and standing by to advance. PHASE 3 ADDER platoon crosses PL2 in a movement to contact via bounding overwatch. The terrain is close-quarters woodland. Bounds should be quick and short to maintain LOS. BULL moves along either the easternmost road northbound or in close with the infantry. ADDER 2 prepares the initial breach into the radar installation, expected from the west. ADDER 1 supports by screening the rear, then following into the installation as required. ADDER and BULL seize the radar installation and immediately establish a defensive posture to repel further counterattacks.
