Situation

Background Information

Following on from the previous operation on Altis [OPERATION SNOWBALL], NATO command in the region has requested additional support from UNITAF elements in taking down the local militia group 'The Three Suns'. We believe the group is led by 3 major warlords operating across Altis with the intent of causing maximum civilian and NATO casualties in their bid to force a NATO retreat from the island.

In order to further their goal the three suns have begun experimenting with creating Salted Bombs- nuclear devices intended to produce maximum lasting radiological damage to a significant area of effect. UNITAF's first priority is to find and disable production of these weapons.

Mission

Tasking

We believe we have narrowed down the location of a Three Suns site which is supplying an unknown test area with materials for these Salted Bombs. UNITAF will advance to the suspect area and locate and secure the supply site. Once there, operatives must find any and all intelligence they can and determine the materials stored within before destroying them with high-powered explosives- we believe the site to contain Cobalt-59 which is not dangerous until turned into a radioactive isotope.  

UNITAF will deploy a helicopter gunship for close air support and recon once a known enemy AA site is neutralised.
