Situation

Background Information
 
Task: Infantry Assault
Time: Early-morning
Weather: Cloudy
 
Following our success 2 weeks ago with an overnight raid on vital communications platforms. The NATO Area Command have asked UNITAF Forces to spearhead a Mechanized assault on Blue Pearl industrial port, a key enemy logistics depot with a large garrison. The objective is well defended as one of the final eastern installations remaining.
 
Recon reveals heavy armour, including MBT, AA platforms and Infantry.
 
Your mission is to cut off the enemy supply provided by this installation, as well as continuting to take out any communications you encounter.
 
 
 
 
 



Mission

Tasking

UNITAF WILL BE DISRUPTING THE MAIN SUPPLY DEPOT BY REMOVING ALL ENEMY ASSETS AND PERSONNEL FROM THE DOCKS. THEY WILL ALSO TAKE OUT ANY COMMUNICATIONS EQUIPMENT THAT THEY ENCOUNTER. IT IS VITAL UNITAF GATHER ANY INTELLIGENCE FROM THE DEPOT THAT THEY CAN FIND TO AID THEIR FURTHER ADVANCE INTO HOSTILE TERRITORY.




Execution

Tasks and Sequencing

LZ - UNITAF WILL BE LANDING AT LZ SANDY IN THE EARLY HOURS OF THE MORNING. THEY WILL MOVE UNDER COVER OF DARKNESS TO THE NORTHWESTERN SIDE OF THE DEPOT. 

BISHOP - will need to suppress and halt enemys coming from the eastern side of the port. Protect ROOK while they secure each objective. They are to work closely with ROOK to ensure both teams can be as effective as possible. BISHOP will be moving with 2x MRZR 4's to make sure they have the ammo and supplies to hold off any enemy forces. They must hold back and allow ROOK to move in first. BISHOP will need to keep the vehicles out of sight and out of audio range to ensure they do not comprise their position or lose the supplies.

PHASE 1 - MINE ROAD, DISABLE ARMOR & AA - OBJ 1

  1. MINE ROAD TO SLOW DOWN ANY QRF THAT MIGHT COME TO AID THE DEPOT. 
  2. ROOK 1 WILL ADVANCE TO OBJ 1, NEUTRALIZE THE ENEMY ARMOR BEFORE THE ENEMY HAS A CHANCE TO USE THEM TO THEIR ADVANTAGE. BISHOP 2 WILL BE WORKING CLOSELY WITH ROOK 1 DURING THIS. THEY WILL BE REQUIRED TO SUPPRESS THE ENEMY. 
  3. DESTROY AA PLACEMENT.

 

PHASE 2 - NEUTRALIZE ENEMY INFANTRY & OTHER ASSETS - OBJ 2

  1. CLEAR OUT AND ELIMINATE ENEMY INFANTRY FROM THE BARRACKS
  2. SWEEP CONTAINERS AND DESTROY ANY COMMS EQUIPMENT & ASSETS

 

PHASE 3 - ELIMINATE AA TO GAIN AIR SUPPORT - OBJ 3

  1. CONTINUE TO SWEEP THE REMAINING AREA FOR ASSETS/COMMS EQUIPMENT ON ROUTE TO OBJ 3
  2. PROCEED TO OBJ 3 AND ELIMINATE THE AA
  3. CLEAR REMAINING BUILDINGS ON ROUTE TO PHASE 3
  4. RESUPPLY WILL BE AVAILABLE ONCE PHASE 3 HAS BEEN CLEARED.

 

PHASE 4 - DESTROY REMAINING MECH INF - OBJ 4

  1. AIR WILL BE IN THE AREA TO TAKE OUT ANY HEAVY ARMOR WHERE NEEDED
  2. CONTINUE TO CLEAR AND DESTROY THE REMAINING AREA
  3. ELIMINATE ALL REMAINING MECH INF
  4. SWEEP AND CLEAR THE REST OF PHASE 4 AND ENSURE UNITAF HAVEN'T MISSED AND ASSETS/EQUIPMENT
  5. MARINES WILL RELIEVE UNITAF ONCE PHASE 4 HAS BEEN CLEARED.
  6. UNITAF WILL BE PICKED UP VIA BOAT ON THE DOCK AS MARKED. AIR WILL COVER AS WE EVAC

UNITAF WILL NOT HAVE AIR COVER TILL THE AA HAS BEEN DESTROYED

SUAV OPERATOR TASKING - Update all findings on to CTAB

  1. Scan Airport north-west of AO - See for activity 
  2. Scan north of LZ, check for any movement in treeline towards phase 1
  3. SCAN Both routes (Blue and green) to confirm they are clear from hostiles
  4. Scan South Eastern side of the port
  5. Scan sand pit area
  6. Scan remaining port update intel
  7. Wait for further tasking

 

Checkmate 1-1

If able is to move out before the main task force insert. They are to get into position without being detected and will scout the southern side of the AO. Updating of all contacts and assets on to CTAB. No restrictions on movement, however, must avoid capture and keep position on CTAB updated. Get eyes on Phase 3 AA and update the exact type to command.
