--- OPERATIONS ORDER ---
Situation
Background InformationUkrainian-Russian tensions are at an all-time high. Small skirmishes have been taking place throughout the Crimean Oblast, in particular a region to the South previously known as Chernarus. The region's previous governing body had claimed independence for a while, before collapsing due to intense political and economic strain. Now the Chernarus nation is dissolved, and the land being seized by both Ukraine and Russia. Ukraine has offered NATO access to natural resources, trade and improved political relations in exchange for military assistance with securing ex-Chernarus land and settlements.
Friendly Forces
The Ukraine Expeditionary Force has seized the main airbase for the region ('Johnston Airbase') and has secured the immediate surroundings. The UEF has a range of Soviet and Western equipment owing to NATO support and supply. They will begin conducting patrols around their claimed region before pushing outwards to seize land with NATO assistance.
Supporting Assets
Chernarus Nationalists- mostly military and police remnants with some civilian militia- are holding out in pockets across the region, particularly military strongholds and camps. Adamant that the region is still rightfully theirs, the Nationalists have declared any foreign force on their land an enemy of the 'state' and will open fire on sight. They have a range of vehicles and equipment originating from both the USSR and the West, owing to their budget and requests for support during their bid for independence. The Nationalists have consolidated their weaponry and equipment around the remaining pockets of their control, and may pose a challenge to shift.
Enemy Forces
The Russian forces pushing into the Chernarus region are actually a state-backed paramilitary which has claimed the identity of the 'Chernarussian Movement of the Red Star'- shortened to ChDKZ. They have access to a lot of Russian equipment and are shoring up their current territory before pushing on to seize more land.
Mission
TaskingUNITAF should strive to secure the whole of Tisy Military Base and it's surrounding infrastructure. Gathering intelligence on Nationalist movements and other Nationalist pockets is also important to the continuation of our overarching operation.
