Situation

Background Information
THE RUSSIANS HAVE FABRICATED A COUP ON THE DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF SAHRANI (DRS) AND OUSTED THE DEMOCRATICALLY ELECTED GOVERNMENT REPLACING IT WITH A PUPPET REGIME RUN BY THE MILITARY CALLED THE SAHRANI MILITARY JUNTA (SMJ), THEY HAVE DEPLOYED RUSSIAN PERSONNEL AND BALLISTIC MISSILES ON THE ISLAND IN A NEVER SEEN PRECEDENT SINCE THE CUBAN MISSILE CRISIS IN THE COLD WAR. THE US CANNOT STAND IDLY BY AS RUSSIA STATIONS BALLISTIC MISSILES THAT CAN REACH THE MAINLAND US, THE RUSSIANS HAVE IGNORED WARNINGS AND SANCTIONS AND ALL DIPLOMATIC CHANNELS HAVE FAILED. DUE TO THIS THE USMC WILL BE DEPLOYED OFF THE COAST OF SAHRANI BY A USN CARRIER STRIKE GROUP, TO PUT BOOTS ON THE GROUND AND TO FREE THE COUNTRY FROM THE TYRANNICAL GRIPS OF THE SAHRANI MILITARY JUNTA (SMJ) AND TO END THE IMMEDIATE THREAT THIS BRAZEN REGIME HAS BECOME TO THE US MAINLAND.

Mission

Tasking
PUSHING THE RUSSIAN-BACKED SAHRANI ARMY FURTHER BACK AND GAINING MORE TERRITORY IN THE CITIES OF IGUANA, DOLORES AND ORTEGO. THIS WILL SECURE MORE CIVILIAN CITIES AND FURTHER OUR CAUSE IN TAKING BACK SAHRANI FOR ITS DEMOCRATIC PEOPLE.

End-state
AFTER SECURING ALL OBJECTIVES OR MOST FORWARD CAPTURED CITY.


Execution

Commander's Intent
Mission intent is to land a reinforced airborne platoon at the doorsteps of the city of Dolores, securing it to push in from the east to develop key garrisons as well as a good approach into the town of Ortego. Secure this major location.

Tasks and Sequencing
Phase 1 - Bishop and Rook will be inserted by Osprey on primary LZ Ghost with secondary LZ Phantom - Bishop will move towards OP 1-1 marker and set up a base of fire to advance into the Lighthouse area. - Rook will move towards OP 2-1 marker and set up a base of fire to move on and clear the Local Military HQ. - Bishop will clear the east side of the town between phase lines 1 and 2. - Rook will clear the western side and move advance on the northern bridge. Possible LOGPACK available near both bridges. Phase 2 - Bishop will cross the southernmost bridge and secure the lower part of the town, then move towards the easternmost bridge and secure it. - Rook will cross the northern bridge and clear towards the radio tower. After that, Rook will move towards the eastern bridge and set up a base of fire. Phase 3 - Bishop will cross the bridge while Rook provides overwatch during crossing. - Bishop will secure the radio tower and the boat depot. Phase 4 - Knight will provide cover and suppression for Rook towards their LZ. - Rook gets airlifted via Castle 4-2 towards primary LZ Fox or secondary LZ Beaver - Rook secures the LZ and if possible advances into the objective - Bishop will do a LOGPACK after securing their objective and when ready gets airlifted towards LZ Fox or LZ Beaver in support of taking the objective. Phase 6 - King platoon closes in on the city utilising the terrain, with Knight providing overwatch from the air. - Bishop takes the north side. - Rook takes the south side. Phase 7 - King platoon clears the sector with support of knight. - Bishop takes the north side. - Rook takes the south side. Phase 8 - Bishop moves in to secure the radio tower and any intel. - Rook moves in and secures the outpost and gathers intel.

EPW's will be brought into custody and airlifted away for processing via Castle 4-2.
