Situation

Background Information
After the assault and subsequential retreat on the city of Ortega, we have regrouped and gained an attachment of an Army Bradley IFV section. To make sure the enemy doesn't gain too much time to lick their wounds we are going to attack the city of Ortego again the same evening.

Mission

Tasking
Primary Objectives a) Secure the city of Ortego b) Secure Outpost Alpha c) Secure the political HQ d) Secure Radio Tower Alpha Secondary Objectives a) Secure the Military Base on the outskirts of the defensive line b) Attack and soften up the defensive line around the border.

End-state
Clearing the enemy force out of Ortego, securing the southern half of the Island


Execution

Commander's Intent
Purpose of the mission is to clear out the enemy force in the city of Ortego with minimum damage to infrastructure and weaken the enemy defence line to prepare for a future city assault on Corazol.

Tasks and Sequencing
Phase 1: - Knight 1 & 2 will insert by Rook with 2 Seahawks to LZ Primary and clear out Outpost Alpha and C1 - Knight 3 will be inserted by Castle and clear all buildings south of phase 1 from the disembark location west up to 3 Hold - After Insert Castle will provide fire support for Knight 3 - After insert Rook will switch to CAS UH-1Y Venoms to provide Recon and logistical support where needed, keeping in mind the heavy AA on the political HQ Phase 2,3 & 4: - Knight 1,2 & 3 Will move in from their respective hold markers into phase 2, staying in close proximity to each other - Checkmate will provide a rolling LOGPAK & Medical support Phase 5 & 6: - movement and execution will be planned in the field.


Administration/Logistics

Resupply
Checkmate may use Rook to bring LOGPAKs to LOP A1, A2 & A3, after which Checkmate will distribute them to the squads and vehicles. Rolling resupplies and CCPs will be used if its safe to do so.

Medical
Primary MEDEVAC will be done by Checkmate on the ground, CCP provided where needed.

Close Air Support
CAS will primarily be provided by Rook. Bishop will provide CAP, reserving 2 pylons for ground attack in case of emergency CAS.
