--- OPERATIONS ORDER ---
Situation
Background InformationHaving successfully established a foothold in Malden, the platoon will deploy from Pegasus Airbase and will begin pushing into Le Port to secure our first major town. After taking Le Port the platoon will establish an outpost at a choke point to the north of Le Port and secure the southern half of Malden for NATO. Unfortunately this will be no easy task. CSAT forces have been mobilised and have reinforced their position on Malden from a small occupation force to a full-blown Defence Force
Friendly Forces
1x Platoon 2x Rifle squads 1x AA Support Section 3x Badgers APCs 1x Logistical Support Section
Supporting Assets
IDAP personnel are moving behind NATO forces to help move the civilians back into their homes once the area is secured
Enemy Forces
The full might of CSAT forces are moving into Malden. Expect CSAT to start holding strategic positions and resisting NATO occupation intensely. We have received intel through a civilian social media video of substantial CSAT air support and ground support from the north of the island. We have also been advised by our comrades from the first wave that the enemy will denote CAS targets with red smoke, and remaining in positions with red smoke is to be avoided at all costs.
Mission
Tasking- Obj Aquarius: Remove the occupying CSAT forces in Le Port - Obj Tucana: Capture the CSAT FOB - Obj Leo: Build a checkpoint on the northern road - Obj Ursa Major: Push into Houdan, the town north of the checkpoint
End-state
The capture of Le Port, the capture of the CSAT FOB and the creation of the northern checkpoint are considered vital. The capture of Houdan is secondary but should be achieved if possible.
Execution
Commander's IntentThe purpose of this mission is to liberate the south-east area of the island of Malden from CSAT control. The endstate is to eliminate or push back CSAT forces past the town of Houdan, code name: Ursa Major and be able to utilize the town for further operations.
Tasks and Sequencing
The platoon will be inserted via Blackfish to LZ Draco in the recently captured town of Chapoi. Following this KNIGHT will transport ROOK 1 and ROOK 3 to Disembark Libra , then return and take ROOK 2 to Disembark Virgo . From this point ROOK 1 will assault the checkpoint allowing our ingress into Sector 1, and ROOK 2 will move to and eliminate the possible vehicle depot and surrounding buildings. Once Sector 1A is cleared, ROOK 1,2 & 3 will move south and clear Sector 1B whilst KNIGHT remains and ensures there are no QRF's from the north and to protect the infantry as they clear the objective and ROOK 3 will move to or around R3 - BOF 1 to identify and eliminate enemy air assets coming from the north. The plan is then to move anti-clockwise and receive regular LOGPAKs, roughly every 2 sectors, though time is of the essence, since the potential enemy checkpoint at Obj Leo could grow stronger as time goes on. Movement after Sector 1 will be planned in the field, but to the following structure: Once Obj Aquarius is taken, KNIGHT will move either ROOK 1 or 2 , depending on which is most combat effective to secure Obj Leo , and the other squad to a position near Obj Tucana where they will then eliminate the FOB located there with KNIGHT 's support. Once a checkpoint has been built at Obj Leo , and Obj Tucana is secure, each squad will assault Obj Ursa Major and secure the city. Actions on: - QRF from the north in Sector 1: KNIGHT/ROOK 3 to respond - Obj Leo being occupied: Platoon to assault in collaboration, rather than Squad independant - Obj Tucana being heavily fortified: KNIGHT to support, 2nd Squad to support as well if needed - Heavy QRF from north whilst assaulting Obj Ursa Major : Organised retreat to Obj Leo and mount a defense there
Administration/Logistics
ResupplyLOGPAKs will need to ensure that ROOK 3 is always equipped with enough AA to respond to any CSAT air threat coming from the north.
