Situation
Background InformationThe coastal town of Georgetown, and it's northern coastline is the final enemy held position. After 3 months of intense fighting, the NATO task force is at the precipice of it's mission in the region. With JTF Ground Forces surrounding Georgetown from the South and East, a direct result of UNITAFs efforts during Day 9. All that remains for UNITAF forces, is a naval assault from the north and the clinical clearance of the built up area, freeing the local populance from the tyrannical state military forces and returning the islands to democratic rule.
Friendly Forces
UNITAF Forces, comprising of; - 1 Naval Assault Force - 2 Destroyers - 1 LCU Landing Utility - Medical Support Attachment Surrounding Ground Forces - NATO Armoured Company (South) - NATO Ground Forces (East)
Enemy Forces
The enemy is split, during our assault on Day 9 we witnessed multiple enemy forces surrendering. Aerial recon reports that the enemy is both reinforcing itself inside the town, with reports of roadblocks, boarded up buildings and barricades. Some units are still retreating though, and recon also suggests that they may be loading APCs onto naval craft in the docklands. The enemy are also at odds with the civilian population, with local militia fighting back against them.
Mission
Tasking- Capture Georgetown - Capture Saint-Julien - Stop the enemy from leaving via the Docklands - Remove all enemy assets - Capture any EPWs and treat all combat casualties
End-state
Hold a safe position inside Georgetown, and take exfiltration which will end UNITAFs rotation on this campaign.
Execution
Commander's IntentSweep & clear Saint-Julien and Georgetown, pursuing enemy forces as they attempt to withdraw from the island.
Tasks and Sequencing
Both main objectives will be split into two sections, East and West with support element Bravo given some autonomy. Operating sections. .Alpha 1 - West. .Alpha 2 - East. .Bravo - at commanders discretion.
Administration/Logistics
ResupplyLOGPAKs will be brought forward to assigned positions as directed by the Platoon Commander.
Medical
MEDIVAC will be provided by Crossroads, a Medical Vehicle will be brought to the front by a LCU.
Rules of Engagement
EPWs must not be executed, EPWs should be passed to the CCP for Processing
Fire Support Plan
The USS Liberty (DD-107) is assigned with naval bombardment and AA duties, communications with the Liberty should be routed for relay through Crossroads.
