Situation

Background Information
A friendly Globalhawk surveillance drone has been shot down during a reconnaissance flight near the ISIS frontline, suprisingly it crash-landed mostly in-tact, with it's last transmitted GPS location close to the town of Kunara. Due to fears of losing equipment and technology secrets, UNITAF's primary Quick Reaction Force is deployed to secure the area, salvage, recover or destroy any sensible material and equipment while holding the Area for a Retrieval team to pick up the remains the last images of the drone suggest it has been tampered with by locals.

SNA : -1Plt. Mec.-Inf. -1Plt. Inf SNA will attempt to hold off any reinforcements inserting from location "MIKIS-FOB"

-Defensive positions along the frontline, consisting of dug-in IFVs, MBTs and multiple MG-Nests, -"METIS" portable TOW-launchers -Ei stationed inside the town of -QRF from the Eastern and Western Valleys

Mission

Tasking
-find and secure the downed Globalhawk drone -make sure the technology inside the UAV does not fall into enemy hands -hold the position until the retrieval team arrives

End-state
with the retrieval team starting it's work, ENDEX either inside the town or at the SNA FOB north of the AO

Execution

Commander's Intent
THE PURPOSE OF THIS MISSION IS TO CLEAR THE ISIS-HELD TOWN OF KUNARA AND HOLD POSITION UNTIL OUR RETRIEVAL TEAM STARTS IT'S WORK ON THE DOWNED UAV. THE COMMANDER'S INTENT IS TO UTILISE THE FRONT-LINE PRESENCE IN THE EAST IN ORDER TO INSERT ONE AIRBORNE PLATOON NORTH OF THE LAST KNOWN GPS LOCATION, MOVING SOUTHWARDS, AND A MECHANIZED INFANTRY PLATOON IN A VEHICLE CONVOY FROM KALAE NOOWI AIRBASE, CONTAINING 2X STRYKERS +MRAPS FOR TRANSPORT.

Tasks and Sequencing
Romeo will be inserted by 2x Blackhawk to LZ Primary, whilst Sierra will drive to the AO. After landing Romeo will asses the terrain from OP 1 and determine exact movement. After arriving to the AO Sierra will take up position on Sierra BOF location and provide overwatch for Romeo but also stopping any reinforcement coming for the south-east. Romeo 2 will then clear the Sierra BOF position and Romeo 1 will start clearing buildings north-east and north of Kunara following the phase lines. After securing Kunara Romeo will hold and defend Kunara until Sierra and friendly engineers arrive to retrieve the downed drone. Once Kunara is secure Romeo will move west to secure the western village from enemy presence. After completing all objectives we will endex in the Kunara or the nearby friendly held SNA FOB.
