--- OPERATIONS ORDER ---
Situation
Background InformationCombined allied forces are stepping up the pressure in their liberation of the Virolahti region. The Canadian Joint Operations Command has arrived in the region and are preparing their landings on the South and South-Eastern coast of Virolahti. The Royal Marines and the Royal Armoured Corps have made solid progress towards a well-defended section of MSR Tiellä but have come across more fierce resistance than expected, and have dug in to their positions to await reinforcements. In order to lend aid in the form of supplies and vehicles, the Bundeswehr forces from FOB Klamila have prepared an offensive to take a small garrisoned town by the name of Järvenkylä and secure a section of MSR Tiellä, linking up the front lines and providing an effective supply route.
Friendly Forces
4x Boxer 2x Eagle 1x AW159 Wildcat Various trucks and APCs available for logistics HM2 Merlin medium-lift helicopters for backup logistics
Supporting Assets
Helicopter support from the British will be provided for mobility and short range AA capability as well as ground observation. British forces are entrenched at their frontline to our east.
Enemy Forces
The russian infantry and mechanised forces are expected to be entrenched in hasty and deliberate fortifications protecting what's left of their eastern front with the German forces. After heavy fighting with the British earlier today, Russian forces are spread wider than usual and lack the heavy armour support we are used to. The enemy is expected to attempt to hold ground at all costs, but is not expected to re-enforce from the north-west due to capability factors. The settlement to the North-East may provide reinforcements along Tiella or the rural road to the direct North of the AO.
Mission
TaskingUNITAF forces are tasked with pushing West out of FOB Klamila and linking up the Allied front with the British AO near Ravijoki. The area West of Klamila is expected to be fairly empty; a UAV flight spotted no heat signatures in the woodland area East of Järvenkylä before it was shot down. Primary Tasking - (A) Secure MSR Tiellä up to the designated point to complete the front line link up - (B) Secure the town of Järvenkylä to keep MSR Tiellä secure - (C) Deliver supplies to the Vehicle Depot captured by British Forces Secondary Tasking - (D) Secure any remaining intel inside/ investigate the Officer Residence estate - (E) Secure any further pockets of enemy resistance and dug in positions scattered around the AO
End-state
Once the MSR is secured up to the 'secure limit' point, report in to the British Vehicle Depot with the designated supplies.
Execution
Commander's IntentThe purpose of this mission is to deliver supplies to the British front-line after heavy fighting during the day, secondly whilst on route, to clear the MSR and link the German and British front lines to create a new allied frontline.
