Situation
Background InformationA Platoon of Motorized Infantry are staging an Attack on a major Port City in the region, Al Nabq. They will be supported by 2 Rotary-Wing CAS Little birds. In addition to locking down the City itself, Air Recon suggests OPFOR setting up defenses on the Outskirts of the City. Additionally, Intel shows the Enemy barricading the roads inside the city, along with visual obstructions being lit.
Friendly Forces
-1x HQ humvee -3x Strykers --one of which is the Mine clearing variant -2x Ambulance humvees -2x multiple logistics trucks
Enemy Forces
The Enemy is expected to dig in inside the town and try to defend it's assets within. Air has given us a good overview of these positions, although thy are not conclusive. In addition, we are expecting IEDs inside the town Asset-wise, expect the following: -Infantry manning static defense positions --Reportedly, ZSUs have been set up in and outside the City -Lightly Armored Vehicles -Improvised Fighting Vehicles (Technicals)
Mission
TaskingThe Platoon is to enter and dismantle defenses in the City of Al Nabq, including the Valley leading up to the City. This strategically important Location will be used as a Staging Point for further Operations.
End-state
-Al-Nabq liberated -Enemy Black Market Trade disrupted
Execution
Commander's IntentThe purpose of the mission is to capture the coastal city of Al Nabq to secure a friendly port for future deployments. Minimal civilian and infrastructure to be prioritised.
