Situation

Background Information
The oil refineries and highway in the Diyala region have been seized by an unknown force, likely Russian backed and trained. The oil refineries are of massive importance to the local government, and need to be secured to keep the region stabile. Despite the US goverments hopes, the local government forces were quickly overwhelmed by this group, and have retreated from the MSR and refineries. Now it is left to the 3rd MBCT "Rakkasan" to take control of the situation. BULL 9 and BULL 1 Bradley CFV (BUSK)

Tasking
ROMEO 9 is tasked with taking control of the MSR and the 2 refineries in the area, by force if needed.

End-state
Unknown force identified and expelled from the area.

Execution

Commander's Intent
Assault and capture all enemy held territory and destroy the enemy units.

Tasks and Sequencing
ROMEO 1 and ROMEO 2 will be receiving humvees for initial transport and wont be used after dismounting. PHASE 0 After brief ALL CALLSIGNS will mount up and step off following the blue line CONVOY order will be: BULL 9 BULL 1 ROMEO 1 ROMEO 9 ROMEO 2 HOOD 4 PHASE 1 After blue line ends, BULL will suppress the checkpoint while ROMEO 1 dismounts at DZ Texas and ROMEO 2 will dismount at DZ Cotton ROMEO 1 will assault and clear following the blue arrows and hold before every PL ROMEO 2 will assault and clear following the green arrows and hold before every PL BULL will support where needed and keep cover down the main road for enemy vehicles PHASE 2 Once at PL2 ROMEO 1 and ROMEO 2 will begin soft clearing the town unless contact is taken with both staying in line and stopping before every PL to reorganise if necessary. Once all sectors of the town are clear, ROMEO will assault and clear refinery 2 with ROMEO 1 clearing sector a2 and ROMEO 2 clearing sector a1
