Maintain the information required to support command decisions.

  • Collect reports from subordinate and supporting elements.
  • Track friendly locations, tasks and progress.
  • Record confirmed and suspected enemy activity.
  • Monitor casualties, supplies, equipment and support availability.
  • Identify missing or conflicting information.
  • Update map markings and notes as the situation changes.
  • Share relevant updates with subordinate, adjacent and higher leaders.
